Le Labex Who Am I?<\/em> est un projet interdisciplinaire, regroupant des \u00e9quipes de biologistes, physiciens, psychanalystes, historiens et philosophes des sciences autour de la question centrale de l\u2019identit\u00e9. Le Labex<\/h3>\n

Lanc\u00e9 en 2012, renouvel\u00e9 en 2020, le Laboratoire d’Excellence Who Am I?<\/em> est un projet ambitieux qui vise \u00e0 adresser la question fondamentale des bases de l’identit\u00e9. Dans ce but, il mobilise une centaine d\u2019\u00e9quipes de recherche, repr\u00e9sentant un total de 1200 personnes, group\u00e9es au sein de 7 unit\u00e9s partenaires. Il est co-coordonn\u00e9 par Claire ROUGEULLE (biologiste, Centre Epig\u00e9n\u00e9tique et Destin Cellulaire) et Beno\u00eet LADOUX (physicien, Institut Jacques Monod).<\/p>\n

Le projet est construit autour de trois axes th\u00e9matiques :
– Transmission de l’identit\u00e9 \u00e0 travers les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations
– Int\u00e9grit\u00e9 de l’identit\u00e9 et r\u00e9ponse au stress
– Plasticit\u00e9 et changement d’identit\u00e9<\/p>\n

L\u2019identit\u00e9<\/h3>\n

Des d\u00e9couvertes et d\u00e9veloppements technologiques r\u00e9cents ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 mettre en lumi\u00e8re de nouveaux m\u00e9canismes impliqu\u00e9s, en particulier, dans l\u2019organisation du g\u00e9nome et la r\u00e9gulation \u00e9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tique, la plasticit\u00e9 cellulaire et la dynamique des cellules souches, ou encore dans l\u2019impact de notre environnement. A la lumi\u00e8re de ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments nouveaux, il devient n\u00e9cessaire de r\u00e9\u00e9valuer comment g\u00e9nome et environnement interagissent et contribuent \u00e0 d\u00e9finir ce que nous sommes aux \u00e9chelles mol\u00e9culaire, cellulaire et de l’organisme. Ce d\u00e9bat doit \u00e9galement \u00eatre plac\u00e9 dans le contexte de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, \u00e0 l’\u00e9chelle de l’individu et de la perception de l’identit\u00e9 et de ses \u00e9tats modifi\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Laboratoire d’excellence<\/h3>\n

Le programme Labex, ou Laboratoire d’Excellence, est un des instruments du programme investissements d’avenir du minist\u00e8re de l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur, de la recherche et de l\u2019innovation. L\u2019appel Labex est destin\u00e9 \u00e0 soutenir la recherche d’ensemble d’\u00e9quipes sur une th\u00e9matique scientifique donn\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Port\u00e9 par l’Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9, le projet Who Am I?<\/em> est un des 71 laur\u00e9ats de la vague 2 de l’appel \u00e0 projets Laboratoires d’Excellence. Il est dot\u00e9 d’un budget total de 16 millions d’euros.<\/p>\n
