La th\u00e9orie de l\u2019\u00e9volution est souvent consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme la th\u00e9orie unificatrice de la biologie, mais ce n\u2019est que r\u00e9cemment que ses concepts ont \u00e9t\u00e9 appliqu\u00e9s \u00e0 des questions de sant\u00e9 pour donner naissance \u00e0 la m\u00e9decine \u00e9volutionniste, \u00e9galement appel\u00e9e m\u00e9decine darwinienne. Nous verrons que l\u2019adaptation des humains \u00e0 leur environnement est le produit de compromis \u00e9volutifs ne permettant pas l\u2019optimisation de chaque \u00e9l\u00e9ment impliqu\u00e9, et \u00e0 l\u2019origine de nombreux probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9. Dans ce cadre, nous pourrons aussi mieux comprendre des probl\u00e8mes concernant notre sant\u00e9 en fonction de maladaptations \u00e0 de nouvelles composantes de nos comportements et de notre environnement (s\u00e9dentarit\u00e9, alimentation d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibr\u00e9e, virus \u00e9mergents\u2026).<\/p>\n

En effet, au cours de la p\u00e9riode la plus r\u00e9cente de leur histoire \u00e9volutive, les humains ont modifi\u00e9 profond\u00e9ment leur mode de vie et leur environnement, et \u00e0 un rythme bien plus rapide que celui des m\u00e9canismes \u00e9volutifs. Des changements biotiques et abiotiques d\u2019origine anthropique sont associ\u00e9s \u00e0 des maladies \u00e0 caract\u00e8re parfois \u00e9pid\u00e9mique. Par ailleurs, des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 peuvent \u00eatre sp\u00e9cifiques d\u2019un territoire relativement restreint et d\u00e9pendant de la diff\u00e9renciation g\u00e9n\u00e9tique des populations, ce qui m\u00e8ne au d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019une m\u00e9decine r\u00e9gionalis\u00e9e, voire individualis\u00e9e. Finalement, nous discuterons dans quelle mesure les sciences de l\u2019\u00e9volution apportent un nouvel \u00e9clairage sur les probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 et de nouveaux outils pour les r\u00e9soudre.<\/p>\n
