A l\u2019ombre de ses voisins Chinois et Japonais, l\u2019art bouddhique cor\u00e9en a \u00e9t\u00e9 pendant tr\u00e8s longtemps peu estim\u00e9 en Occident. Pourtant, en Asie de l\u2019Est, des \u0153uvres (peintures, soutras peints et sculptures) provenant de la p\u00e9ninsule cor\u00e9enne, du fait de leur qualit\u00e9 et leur raret\u00e9, ont acquis depuis longtemps un important prestige. <\/p>\n

Cette pr\u00e9sentation propose de d\u00e9couvrir l\u2019art bouddhique cor\u00e9en \u00e0 travers l\u2019\u00e9tude sur le temps long de diff\u00e9rentes \u0153uvres et diff\u00e9rents hauts lieux du Bouddhisme dans la p\u00e9ninsule. D\u2019abord, nous nous int\u00e9resserons au r\u00f4le politique qu\u2019a jou\u00e9 le culte des reliques du Bouddha dans la Cor\u00e9e ancienne. Puis, nous porterons notre attention sur la peinture et les soutras illustr\u00e9s de la p\u00e9riode m\u00e9di\u00e9vale. Enfin, nous verrons comment les femmes de la cour ont essay\u00e9 de d\u00e9fendre le Bouddhisme, alors attaqu\u00e9, \u00e0 travers la commande de peintures au palais. <\/p>\n

A travers ces \u0153uvres, nous d\u00e9couvrons une large partie de l\u2019histoire de la Cor\u00e9e et de la place centrale que la p\u00e9ninsule a jou\u00e9 dans la diffusion du Bouddhisme dans la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n

A l\u2019ombre de ses voisins Chinois et Japonais, l\u2019art bouddhique cor\u00e9en a \u00e9t\u00e9 pendant tr\u00e8s longtemps peu estim\u00e9 en Occident. Pourtant, en Asie de l\u2019Est, des \u0153uvres (peintures, soutras peints et sculptures) provenant de la p\u00e9ninsule cor\u00e9enne, du fait de leur qualit\u00e9 et leur raret\u00e9, ont acquis depuis longtemps un important prestige. Cette pr\u00e9sentation propose de d\u00e9couvrir l\u2019art bouddhique cor\u00e9en \u00e0 travers l\u2019\u00e9tude sur le temps long de diff\u00e9rentes \u0153uvres et diff\u00e9rents hauts lieux du Bouddhisme dans la p\u00e9ninsule. D\u2019abord, nous nous int\u00e9resserons au r\u00f4le politique qu\u2019a jou\u00e9 le culte des reliques du Bouddha dans la Cor\u00e9e ancienne. Puis, nous porterons notre attention sur la peinture et les soutras illustr\u00e9s de la p\u00e9riode m\u00e9di\u00e9vale. Enfin, nous verrons comment les femmes de la cour ont essay\u00e9de d\u00e9fendre le Bouddhisme, alors attaqu\u00e9, \u00e0 travers la commande de peintures au palais. A travers ces \u0153uvres, nous d\u00e9couvrons une large partie de l\u2019histoire de la Cor\u00e9e et de la place centrale que la p\u00e9ninsule a jou\u00e9 dans la diffusion du Bouddhisme dans la r\u00e9gion.\u00a0<\/p>
