Le r\u00e9chauffement climatique et la transition \u00e9cologique ont plac\u00e9 la notion de \u00ab\u3000ressources\u3000\u00bb au centre de nos pr\u00e9occupations. Or son histoire, plus ancienne qu\u2019il n\u2019y para\u00eet, est une probl\u00e9matique majeure de la construction des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s. D\u00e8s le Moyen \u00c2ge, les Europ\u00e9ens eurent le souci de nourrir les affam\u00e9s, v\u00eatir les indigents, loger les sans-abris, autant de besoins concrets auxquels t\u00e2ch\u00e8rent de r\u00e9pondre l\u2019\u00c9glise et les pouvoirs politiques, en s\u2019effor\u00e7ant de construire un mode de vie durable.<\/p>\n

Explorant les liens tiss\u00e9s au c\u0153ur de la grande croissance m\u00e9di\u00e9vale entre besoin et d\u00e9veloppement, sobri\u00e9t\u00e9 et consommation, Mathieu Arnoux souligne \u00e0 la fois les r\u00e9ussites et les impasses d\u2019un syst\u00e8me \u00e9conomique construit presque exclusivement sur l\u2019exploitation de ressources renouvelables, au risque de mettre en crise le r\u00e9gime f\u00e9odal\u3000; ce dont t\u00e9moignent aussi bien une c\u00e9l\u00e8bre \u0153uvre de fiction, le Roman de Renart, que les statuts de grandes communaut\u00e9s monastiques, comme l\u2019ordre de C\u00eeteaux.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 l\u2019heure o\u00f9 l\u2019\u00e9puisement des ressources pose la question de la survie des modes contemporains de d\u00e9veloppement et d\u2019existence, nous pouvons tirer profit des le\u00e7ons, \u00e9tonnamment modernes et ing\u00e9nieuses, du Moyen \u00c2ge chr\u00e9tien.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
