Depuis le XIXe<\/sup> si\u00e8cle, la psychologie est une discipline scientifique. Mais aujourd\u2019hui, elle ne se cantonne plus au laboratoire et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude de la perception : elle se soumet aussi \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve du terrain. C\u2019est m\u00eame un corpus de m\u00e9thodes concr\u00e8tes qui unifie la science psychologique, quoique les th\u00e9matiques et les probl\u00e9matiques y soient nombreuses et vari\u00e9es.
L\u2019observation, l\u2019entretien, le questionnaire et l\u2019enqu\u00eate comptent parmi ces m\u00e9thodes, auxquelles il faut ajouter les m\u00e9thodes corr\u00e9lationnelles (qui \u00e9tudient les liens entre les comportements) et la m\u00e9thode exp\u00e9rimentale, sans oublier les techniques li\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019utilisation r\u00e9cente de l\u2019imagerie c\u00e9r\u00e9brale.
