Loin de se limiter \u00e0 la syntaxe, l’h\u00e9ritage des principes fondateurs de L. Tesni\u00e8re concerne l’ensemble des sciences du langage eu \u00e9gard \u00e0 l’\u00e9cho rencontr\u00e9 par les \u00c9l\u00e9ments de syntaxe structurale dans bien d’autres domaines de la linguistique. Le pr\u00e9sent volume en propose un \u00e9tat des lieux\u3000en quatre axes.
Il op\u00e8re d’abord une relecture contemporaine de cet ouvrage-cl\u00e9, s’attachant \u00e0 certains points pr\u00e9cis comme les multiples niveaux d’analyse envisag\u00e9s par L. Tesni\u00e8re, la place r\u00e9serv\u00e9e au latin classique ou le recours r\u00e9gulier de l’auteur aux m\u00e9taphores. Il aborde ensuite quelques-unes des ramifications ou revisites contemporaines des concepts tesni\u00e9riens en Europe, dans une optique descriptive voire de linguistique g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, \u00e0 des fins syntaxiques, s\u00e9mantiques ou encore morphologiques.
De fa\u00e7on plus g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, cet ouvrage fait le point sur l’h\u00e9ritage de la pens\u00e9e tesni\u00e9rienne dans diff\u00e9rents domaines des sciences du langage, tout cadre th\u00e9orique confondu, et situe l’oeuvre de L. Tesni\u00e8re dans le paysage structuraliste europ\u00e9en du XXe si\u00e8cle. Enfin, il attire l’attention sur l’influence exerc\u00e9e par la syntaxe structurale tesni\u00e9rienne sur un domaine d’\u00e9tude particulier, celui de l’\u00e9tude de la langue – le discours grammatical scolaire ayant en effet \u00e9t\u00e9 fortement influenc\u00e9 par le d\u00e9veloppement de la syntaxe structurale.<\/p>\n
