Et nous voil\u00e0 partis, deux mill\u00e9naires en arri\u00e8re, chez nos anc\u00eatres les Gaulois dont les mots sont bient\u00f4t m\u00eal\u00e9s de latin, puis de germain. Avant l\u2019arriv\u00e9e de mots arabes, italiens, anglais… Un m\u00e9tissage permanent o\u00f9 chaque langue s\u2019enrichit d\u2019apports mutuels.
Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que d\u00e9ferle une vague de vocables dominateurs n\u00e9s de la mondialisation \u00e9conomique et invent\u00e9s pour son service. Ce globish aura-t-il raison de la diversit\u00e9 linguistique, aussi n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 nos vies que cette biodiversit\u00e9 dont nous avons appris \u00e0 reconna\u00eetre l\u2019importance capitale, et la fragilit\u00e9 ?
Et si les mots immigr\u00e9s, c\u2019est \u00e0 dire la quasi-totalit\u00e9 des mots de notre langue, s\u2019ils d\u00e9cidaient de se mettre un beau jour en gr\u00e8ve ?
