Le Rwanda, la R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo (RDC) et la Syrie ont \u00e9t\u00e9 les terrains de situations de violences extr\u00eames. En tant que t\u00e9moins, les auteurs de ce livre nous \u00e9clairent sur trois moments-cl\u00e9s qui jalonnent ces \u00e9pisodes tragiques : l\u2019enqu\u00eate, le secours et la mise en place des proc\u00e9dures de justice menant au jugement.
Les chercheurs et chercheuses en sciences sociales apportent leurs \u00e9clairages par le biais d\u2019investigations, d\u2019analyses et de publications, s\u2019engageant dans les controverses qui surgissent parfois, notamment sur la situation au Rwanda : quelles furent et sont encore aujourd\u2019hui les mani\u00e8res d\u2019enqu\u00eater sur le g\u00e9nocide des Tutsis ? Les praticiens humanitaires, eux, d\u00e9crivent les op\u00e9rations de secours, le travail quotidien au milieu des sc\u00e8nes de violence et la cr\u00e9ation de r\u00e9seaux de soutien, tout en se faisant les porte-parole de celles et ceux qui vivent au milieu des destructions. Le livre donne \u00e9galement la parole \u00e0 une journaliste dont les enqu\u00eates portant sur le Kivu (dans l\u2019Est de la RDC) interrogent non seulement le traitement m\u00e9diatique de ce terrain, mais aussi les alliances indispensables aux journalistes pour avoir acc\u00e8s \u00e0 ces espaces en guerre.
Ces points de vue multiples s\u2019appuient sur des sources nombreuses. Les sources judiciaires permettent notamment de restituer l\u2019attitude des auteurs de violences en donnant acc\u00e8s \u00e0 leurs discours et proposent un \u00e9tat quantitatif des poursuites engag\u00e9es contre eux.<\/div>\n
