Thibaud Pombet est post-doctorant en sociologie et sciences de l’\u00e9ducation au Cermes3 (Centre de recherche m\u00e9decine, sciences, sant\u00e9, sant\u00e9 mentale, soci\u00e9t\u00e9). Ce livre pr\u00e9sente les r\u00e9sultats d\u2019une enqu\u00eate sociologique men\u00e9e en France pendant plusieurs ann\u00e9es aupr\u00e8s de jeunes de 15 \u00e0 25 ans atteints de cancer. En d\u00e9crivant leur vie quotidienne dans les services de soins, l\u2019ouvrage rend compte des probl\u00e9matiques m\u00e9dicales, \u00e9ducatives et \u00e9thiques qui structurent la prise en charge du cancer \u00e0 cet \u00e2ge de la vie. Elles sont abord\u00e9es en trois parties\u00a0: l’entr\u00e9e dans la maladie, les soins et l’apr\u00e8s-cancer, toutes riches de nombreux t\u00e9moignages de malades, de proches et de soignants.<\/p>\n

La volont\u00e9 de ne pas r\u00e9duire ces jeunes \u00e0 une identit\u00e9 de malade, de les consid\u00e9rer avant tout comme \u00ab\u00a0normaux\u00a0\u00bb malgr\u00e9 la maladie, est interrog\u00e9e en lien avec l\u2019\u00e9volution historique de la place accord\u00e9e aux adolescents et aux jeunes adultes \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital, en m\u00e9decine et dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 tout enti\u00e8re. En cela, le livre montre qu\u2019adapter la prise en charge \u00e0 des besoins pens\u00e9s comme propres aux jeunes malades influence profond\u00e9ment les pratiques d\u2019accompagnement \u00e0 l\u2019autonomie, les normes \u00e9ducatives, familiales et scolaires, et conditionne \u00e9galement l\u2019exp\u00e9rience de la maladie et des soins pour ces jeunes.
C\u2019est une lecture passionnante, et indispensable \u00e0 tous les acteurs et actrices impliqu\u00e9s dans le suivi th\u00e9rapeutique et psychologique des jeunes malades dans une structure de soins.<\/p>\n
