L\u2019articulation entre permanence et changement int\u00e9resse de nombreuses disciplines. Elle est notamment au coeur de l\u2019\u00e9tude des formes urbaines et rurales dans diff\u00e9rents champs de recherche en g\u00e9ographie, en arch\u00e9ologie, en architecture ou en histoire. La r\u00e9silience<\/em> d\u00e9fend l\u2019id\u00e9e que l\u2019on ne peut plus se satisfaire des approches telles que le palimpseste, la m\u00e9thode r\u00e9gressive, l\u2019analyse s\u00e9miologique, etc., utilis\u00e9es pour \u00e9tudier la dynamique des paysages, car elles reposent sur la s\u00e9paration pass\u00e9\/pr\u00e9sent issue elle-m\u00eame de la diff\u00e9renciation nature\/soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Cet ouvrage croise les spatio-temporalit\u00e9s, d\u00e9crites en arch\u00e9og\u00e9ographie, avec les concepts \u00e9labor\u00e9s dans la r\u00e9silience \u00e9cologique, comme la panarchie et le cycle adaptatif. L\u2019analyse morphologique ainsi renouvel\u00e9e consid\u00e8re les paysages comme des syst\u00e8mes adaptatifs complexes r\u00e9silients.<\/p>\n

Les permanences observ\u00e9es dans les paysages ne sont alors plus pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es comme la r\u00e9sistance de formes h\u00e9rit\u00e9es, mais comme le r\u00e9sultat d\u2019une dynamique nourrie par cette dialectique constante entre persistance et changement. La r\u00e9silience est ici positionn\u00e9e du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la dynamique et non de la r\u00e9sistance.<\/p>\n
