Il compte une dizaine d\u2019\u00e9tudiants, inscrits en Master 2 et en doctorat. \u00ab\u00a0En temps normal<\/em> nous explique Gilles Guiheux, ce s\u00e9minaire discute de recherches sur le travail en Chine. Outre la dimension th\u00e9orique, je partage avec les \u00e9tudiants des mat\u00e9riaux primaires issus d\u2019enqu\u00eates de terrain que j\u2019ai conduites\u00a0; certains d\u2019entre eux travaillent sur cette question et nous discutons de la construction d\u2019un savoir scientifique \u00e0 partir de ces mat\u00e9riaux\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>. Une fois l\u2019universit\u00e9 ferm\u00e9e et les cours en pr\u00e9sentiel rendus impossibles, Gilles Guiheux remet le programme \u00e0 plat et imagine un enseignement \u00e0 distance faisant la part belle \u00e0 la dimension participative. \u00ab\u00a0L\u2019id\u00e9e \u00e9tait d\u2019\u00eatre en prise avec l\u2019\u00e9pisode exceptionnel que nous traversions. Nous nous sommes chacun mis \u00e0 analyser des professions diff\u00e9rentes\u00a0: livreurs, ouvriers du textile, infirmiers, etc. D\u2019une semaine \u00e0 l\u2019autre les \u00e9tudiants pr\u00e9sentaient des informations rassembl\u00e9es sur le web et on cherchait \u00e0 en tirer des conclusions g\u00e9n\u00e9rales sur le r\u00f4le du droit, des politiques publiques ou des m\u00e9canismes de march\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>. R\u00e9inventer un s\u00e9minaire en cours de route, alors que le monde entier se retrouve sid\u00e9r\u00e9 et confin\u00e9 par une crise sanitaire sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent, peut de prime abord surprendre. \u00ab\u00a0En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, cela s\u2019est fait assez spontan\u00e9ment <\/em>nous explique-t-il, je n\u2019avais pas de plan pr\u00e9d\u00e9fini sur le d\u00e9roulement du s\u00e9minaire r\u00e9invent\u00e9. Je dirais m\u00eame que l\u2019exercice a eu des vertus psychologiques. En juillet 2020, ils reviennent vers moi et me proposent d’en publier une version refondue dans Public Books<\/a>, un site am\u00e9ricain g\u00e9r\u00e9 par Columbia University. D\u2019une contrainte forte \u00e0 cause de la pand\u00e9mie et d\u2019un s\u00e9minaire r\u00e9invent\u00e9, on s\u2019est ainsi retrouv\u00e9 avec quatre publications\u2026 Les \u00e9tudiants \u00e9taient super heureux \u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Une p\u00e9dagogie r\u00e9invent\u00e9e<\/strong><\/p>\n Suite \u00e0 ce succ\u00e8s et alors que la situation sanitaire restait toujours aussi incertaine \u00e0 la rentr\u00e9e 2020, Gilles Guiheux a souhait\u00e9 renouveler l\u2019exp\u00e9rience\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Pour le s\u00e9minaire 2020-2021, j\u2019ai cherch\u00e9 un support diff\u00e9rent et j\u2019ai pens\u00e9 \u00e0 The Conversation<\/a>. Je les ai contact\u00e9s en amont et ils \u00e9taient eux aussi tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ress\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>. Quand on l\u2019interroge sur les vertus de ce s\u00e9minaire et de la formation par la recherche, il n\u2019h\u00e9site pas\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Je n\u2019ai jamais conduit un s\u00e9minaire o\u00f9 les \u00e9tudiants \u00e9taient aussi impliqu\u00e9s. Un des objectifs est aussi de montrer comment travailler et faire de la recherche \u00e0 distance. Et c\u2019est une bonne exp\u00e9rience d\u2019\u00e9criture pour eux\u00a0: dans des m\u00e9dias de ce type, il faut apprendre \u00e0 \u00eatre clair et concis, \u00e0 donner acc\u00e8s \u00e0 ses connaissances au plus grand nombre, tout en \u00e9crivant \u00e0 partir de sources pr\u00e9cises et ne pas s\u2019aventurer dans des jugements non \u00e9tay\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Enqu\u00eates de terrain et en ligne<\/strong><\/p>\n Le sociologue n\u2019\u00e9carte \u00e9videmment pas l\u2019importance des enqu\u00eates de terrain et de la rencontre\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Les m\u00e9dias chinois sont soumis tous les jours aux injonctions du d\u00e9partement de la Propagande. On a vu des questions appara\u00eetre avant de compl\u00e8tement dispara\u00eetre\u00a0; on devine l\u00e0 des disputes au sein de la direction du Parti Communiste. En recherche, la grande question est la mani\u00e8re dont on exploite nos mat\u00e9riaux, que ce soit des articles de presse, des t\u00e9moignages de premi\u00e8re main, des rapports institutionnels ou de la documentation photographique. Pour ce s\u00e9minaire on a m\u00e9lang\u00e9 des mat\u00e9riaux qu\u2019on avait avant la Covid et d\u2019autres r\u00e9unis pendant le s\u00e9minaire \u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Pour la rentr\u00e9e prochaine, Gilles Guiheux r\u00e9fl\u00e9chit \u00e0 un s\u00e9minaire autour de l\u2019ethnographie en ligne\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Quand on fait de l\u2019ethnographie, en principe on rencontre des gens, mais d\u2019autres solutions existent et il faut savoir les explorer et les questionner. Quels types de mat\u00e9riaux num\u00e9riques peut-on utiliser pour faire de la recherche en sciences humaines et sociales\u00a0?\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>.
