Le Laboratoire de Biochimie Th\u00e9orique (LBT) est l’un des cinq laboratoires de l’Institut de Biologie Physico-Chimique (IBPC) \u00e0 Paris.<\/p>\n
Le LBT a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 \u00e0 l’IBPC en 1958. C’est une unit\u00e9 CNRS conventionn\u00e9e avec l’Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9. Notre domaine est la biochimie th\u00e9orique et computationnelle, \u00e0 l’interface entre la biologie, la chimie, la physique et l’informatique.<\/p>\n
Nos objectifs strat\u00e9giques sont doubles : inventer des algorithmes de simulation pour reproduire et pr\u00e9dire les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s physiques des biomol\u00e9cules in vitro ou dans la cellule, et comprendre les facteurs mol\u00e9culaires ou conformationnels responsables des fonctions biologiques des syst\u00e8mes vivants et des maladies. L’\u00e9quilibre entre ces deux aspects est le point cl\u00e9 de la politique du LBT.<\/p>\n
Le LBT est organis\u00e9 en une seule \u00e9quipe de chercheurs autonomes ayant des int\u00e9r\u00eats et des domaines d’expertise compl\u00e9mentaires, tant dans le d\u00e9veloppement de m\u00e9thodes que dans les applications biophysiques, biochimiques et biom\u00e9dicales. Les avanc\u00e9es dans chacun de ces domaines r\u00e9sultent de l’association des chercheurs en groupes autour de projets.<\/p>\n
