L\u2019Institut Jacques Monod<\/a>\u00a0s’est dot\u00e9\u00a0d\u2019un microscope \u00e9lectronique pour observer les cellules en 3D. Unique \u00e0 Paris, cet appareil devient la vitrine de la plateforme d’Imagerie ImagoSeine.<\/p>\n \u00ab Pour \u00eatre \u00e0 la pointe de la recherche, il faut \u00eatre \u00e0 la pointe de la technologie \u00bb, affirme Jean-Marc Verbavatz, coordinateur de la plateforme technologique ImagoSeine. L\u2019institut Jacques Monod vient de faire l\u2019acquisition d\u2019un microscope \u00e9lectronique capable de produire une image en 3D et en tr\u00e8s haute r\u00e9solution \u00e0 l’\u00e9chelle d\u2019une ou plusieurs cellules enti\u00e8res. A ce jour, il n\u2019y avait qu\u2019un mod\u00e8le de cet appareil en France, \u00e0 Lille. L\u2019institut est donc le premier \u00e9tablissement parisien \u00e0 s\u2019\u00e9quiper de cet outil performant.<\/p>\n Le microscope, qui sera install\u00e9 dans les prochaines semaines dans le b\u00e2timent Buffon, sera \u00e0 la disposition de toutes les \u00e9quipes de recherche de l\u2019institut Jacques Monod et de l\u2019universit\u00e9 Paris Diderot, biologistes ou non. L\u2019UFR Physique pourra par exemple l\u2019utiliser en sciences des mat\u00e9riaux. Comme les autres \u00e9quipements de la plateforme, cet appareil sera \u00e9galement accessible aux chercheurs ext\u00e9rieurs, par exemple de l\u2019institut Curie, Pasteur ou Cochin. \u00ab Nos coll\u00e8gues devront r\u00e9server des cr\u00e9neaux et louer nos prestations. Un membre de l\u2019institut les accompagnera dans leurs projets \u00bb. L\u2019utilisation de cet outil n\u00e9cessite un protocole de plusieurs jours et des capacit\u00e9s cons\u00e9quentes pour stocker et traiter les donn\u00e9es.<\/p>\n En permettant de visualiser tous les compartiments d\u2019une cellule (jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle de mol\u00e9cules), ce nouveau microscope ouvre de belles perspectives de recherche. \u00ab En analysant l\u2019organisation des compartiments d\u2019une cellule avec des images en 3D, nous irons plus loin dans nos analyses. Nos travaux rel\u00e8vent de la recherche fondamentale, mais derri\u00e8re il y a des enjeux soci\u00e9taux importants. Des chercheurs en m\u00e9decine s\u2019emparent par exemple de nos r\u00e9sultats pour comprendre les m\u00e9canismes du cancer \u00bb.<\/p>\n On comprend donc pourquoi l\u2019Idex a financ\u00e9\u00a0\u00e0 hauteur de 200 000\u20ac l\u2019achat de cet \u00e9quipement tr\u00e8s prometteur. L\u2019institut Jacques Monod a b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9\u00a0\u00e9galement d\u2019un financement de 340 000 \u20ac de la R\u00e9gion Ile-de-France dans le cadre du dispositif S\u00e9same.<\/p>\n ImagoSeine est membre de l\u2019infrastructure nationale des plateformes d\u2019imagerie France-BioImaging et du r\u00e9seau Euro-BioImaging.
