Afin d\u2019accompagner ses recherches de pointe en biologie cellulaire, biologie du d\u00e9veloppement et \u00e9volution, l\u2019Institut Jacques Monod<\/a>\u00a0(CNRS\/universit\u00e9 Paris Diderot) s\u2019est dot\u00e9 d\u2019une plateforme\u00a0technologique en imagerie\u00a0de niveau national : ImagoSeine. Equip\u00e9e d\u2019instruments d\u2019observation microscopique et ouverte aux utilisateurs externes, ImagoSeine est membre de l\u2019infrastructure des plateformes d\u2019imagerie France-BioImaging et du r\u00e9seau Euro-BioImaging. Rencontre avec son coordinateur, le chercheur Ren\u00e9-Marc M\u00e8ge.<\/p>\n \u00c0 quels besoins r\u00e9pond la plateforme ImagoSeine\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n ImagoSeine permet de mutualiser l\u2019utilisation d\u2019appareils de pointe, tr\u00e8s co\u00fbteux (jusqu\u2019\u00e0 500 000 \u20ac). La plateforme rassemble une grande diversit\u00e9 de techniques et de comp\u00e9tences que les scientifiques peuvent solliciter en fonction de leurs besoins. Ouverte \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble de la communaut\u00e9 scientifique, du public comme du priv\u00e9, elle offre des prestations qui couvrent une large gamme des besoins des \u00e9quipes de l\u2019Institut en microscopie photonique, microscopie \u00e9lectronique et cytom\u00e9trie. De nombreuses approches de rupture sont \u00e9galement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es avec les \u00e9quipes de recherche utilisatrices. ImagoSeine s\u2019est par exemple r\u00e9cemment dot\u00e9 d\u2019un microscope \u00e9lectronique capable de produire une image en 3D et en tr\u00e8s haute r\u00e9solution, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle d\u2019une cellule ou d\u2019un embryon.<\/p>\n Quels sont les diff\u00e9rents services propos\u00e9s\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n L\u2019imagerie est indispensable \u00e0 la recherche en biologie. Le principal service est la mise \u00e0 disposition des \u00e9quipements et des comp\u00e9tences, ainsi que la formation des utilisateurs. La plateforme s\u2019appuie pour cela sur des ing\u00e9nieurs de haute comp\u00e9tence, qui poursuivent \u00e9galement une activit\u00e9 de R&D. Des m\u00e9thodes innovantes sont r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement mises au point, comme la microscopie corr\u00e9lative, les approches de microscopie photonique \u00e0 haute r\u00e9solution ou la transparisation des \u00e9chantillons permettant l\u2019observation d\u2019\u00e9chantillons \u00e9pais.<\/p>\n Comment ImagoSeine va-t-elle se d\u00e9velopper \u00e0 l\u2019avenir\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n Le bilan actuel est tr\u00e8s positif\u00a0: la plateforme a clairement contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la production de recherches de pointe. Aujourd\u2019hui, nous sommes dans une situation de quasi-saturation dans l\u2019utilisation des \u00e9quipements et des personnels. Pourtant, d\u2019autres besoins \u00e9mergent en termes de super-r\u00e9solution et d\u2019imagerie 3D, de plus en plus rapides et sensibles. Notre principal d\u00e9fi consiste \u00e0 renouveler et d\u2019am\u00e9liorer les dispositifs et \u00e0 nous doter de nouvelles comp\u00e9tences, notamment en traitement d\u2019image.
