\nC’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous avons appris le d\u00e9c\u00e8s de notre coll\u00e8gue Sophie Malinsky, Ma\u00eetresse de Conf\u00e9rences \u00e0 l\u2019UFR Sciences du Vivant, le 6 f\u00e9vrier des suites d\u2019une maladie fulgurante. Elle aurait eu 53 ans le 9 f\u00e9vrier. <\/p>\n

Ancienne \u00e9l\u00e8ve de l\u2019Institut National d\u2019Agronomie Paris-Grignon, passionn\u00e9e par les sciences de la vie, Sophie a pr\u00e9par\u00e9 et soutenu en 1999 une th\u00e8se de sciences, sous la direction d\u2019Alain Bucheton, au Centre de G\u00e9n\u00e9tique Mol\u00e9culaire (Gif\/Yvette), ayant pour titre \u00ab \u00c9tude de la r\u00e9gulation de la transposition du facteur I, un \u00e9l\u00e9ment de type LINE de Drosophila melanogaster. \u00bb. Toujours int\u00e9ress\u00e9e par les m\u00e9canismes de fluidit\u00e9 des g\u00e9nomes et attir\u00e9e par la richesse du mod\u00e8le d\u2019\u00e9tude que constitue la param\u00e9cie, Sophie a rejoint en 2001, en qualit\u00e9 de chercheuse post-doctorante, l\u2019\u00e9quipe \u00ab R\u00e9arrangements programm\u00e9s du g\u00e9nome chez les cili\u00e9s \u00bb dirig\u00e9e par Eric Meyer \u00e0 l’Institut de Biologie de l\u2019Ecole Normale Sup\u00e9rieure. C\u2019est dans cette \u00e9quipe que Sophie a \u00e9t\u00e9 recrut\u00e9e Maitresse de Conf\u00e9rence \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Paris 7 \u2013 Denis Diderot en septembre 2004 et y a effectu\u00e9 la suite de ses activit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Au sein de cette \u00e9quipe, Sophie a initi\u00e9 des recherches novatrices, notamment sur la voie de r\u00e9paration de l\u2019ADN par le m\u00e9canisme de Non-Homologous End Joining, en se penchant sur des acteurs cl\u00e9s tels que la DNA-PKcs. Ses d\u00e9couvertes ont jet\u00e9 les bases pour comprendre l\u2019\u00e9volution et les m\u00e9canismes d’excision des s\u00e9quences r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9es et des \u00e9l\u00e9ments transposables au sein des g\u00e9nomes. En tant qu\u2019enseignante, Sophie a partag\u00e9 sa passion pour la g\u00e9n\u00e9tique formelle, la biologie mol\u00e9culaire et l’\u00e9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tique \u00e0 travers ses enseignements, de la Licence au Master. Son engagement a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le essentiel dans la formation des futurs chercheurs d\u2019une part en s’investissant dans la cr\u00e9ation d’unit\u00e9s d’enseignement d\u00e9di\u00e9es \u00e0 la d\u00e9couverte de l’activit\u00e9 de recherche et d\u2019autre part en participant de fa\u00e7on tr\u00e8s importante \u00e0 l\u2019encadrement des \u00e9tudiants au laboratoire. <\/p>\n

Sophie Malinsky \u00e9tait une scientifique passionn\u00e9e, une enseignante inspirante et une coll\u00e8gue d\u00e9vou\u00e9e appr\u00e9ci\u00e9e par l\u2019ensemble de ses coll\u00e8gues. Sa disparition pr\u00e9matur\u00e9e laisse un grand vide au sein de la communaut\u00e9 universitaire et scientifique. Nous adressons nos plus sinc\u00e8res condol\u00e9ances \u00e0 Philippe, son conjoint, Lucie et Manon, ses filles, ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 toute sa famille.<\/p>\n
