Le Minist\u00e8re c\u00e9l\u00e8bre cette ann\u00e9e les 20 ans du prix Ir\u00e8ne Joliot-Curie qui r\u00e9compense chaque ann\u00e9e des femmes scientifiques pour leurs travaux. A cette occasion, un \u00ab\u00a0Prix sp\u00e9cial de l\u2019Engagement\u00a0\u00bb a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cern\u00e9 pour r\u00e9compenser une scientifique particuli\u00e8rement impliqu\u00e9e par ses travaux dans le lutte contre l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9mie de Covid-19.<\/p>\n

Ce prix a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cern\u00e9 \u00e0 deux femmes laur\u00e9ates\u00a0: Odile Launay et Vittoria Colizza par le minist\u00e8re de l\u2019Enseignement sup\u00e9rieur, de la Recherche et de l\u2019Innovation, avec le soutien de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie des sciences et de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie des technologies qui en constituent le jury.<\/p>\n

Odile Launay s\u2019est engag\u00e9e dans la coordination nationale de la recherche vaccinale sur la COVID-19 afin d\u2019am\u00e9liorer les connaissances sur l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 des vaccins et favoriser la confiance dans ceux-ci. Elle s\u2019est aussi engag\u00e9e tr\u00e8s fortement dans la formation \u00e0 l\u2019intention des professionnels de sant\u00e9 en demande d\u2019informations sur les nouveaux vaccins et aussi dans la communication \u00e0 destination du grand public. Elle a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs d\u00e9marches importantes notamment une \u00e9tude appel\u00e9e Coviompare\u2013 qui examine la r\u00e9ponse immunitaire des personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es de 65 ans et plus comparativement \u00e0 celle des personnes plus jeunes- et\u00a0une autre qui examine la r\u00e9ponse des populations populations particuli\u00e8res (cohorte COVpopart)<\/a><\/u>. Ces projets sont de toute premi\u00e8re importance dans la d\u00e9finition de la politique vaccinale.<\/p>\n
