Aucun traitement n’\u00e9tait disponible pour ces patients, qui devaient souvent avoir recours \u00e0 une chirurgie mutilante.<\/p>\n Sur la base de sa connaissance des m\u00e9canismes mol\u00e9culaires sous-jacents \u00e0 la maladie, le Pr. Canaud a \u00e9mis l’id\u00e9e que les inhibiteurs du complexe PI3K, utilis\u00e9s pour certains types de cancers, pourraient \u00eatre employ\u00e9s pour ces patients. Les r\u00e9sultats d’un essai pilote sur 19 patients ont indiqu\u00e9 un b\u00e9n\u00e9fice clinique significatif pour tous les patients, avec une am\u00e9lioration spectaculaire des sympt\u00f4mes.
