Quatre chercheurs de la Facult\u00e9 de Sant\u00e9 d\u2019Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9compens\u00e9s cette ann\u00e9e par la Fondation pour la Recherche M\u00e9dicale (FRM), mettant ainsi en lumi\u00e8re les travaux de pointe men\u00e9s au sein de l’institution. La Professeure Elizabeth Macintyre-Davi, sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans le diagnostic des cancers h\u00e9matologiques, se consacre \u00e0 comprendre les m\u00e9canismes impliqu\u00e9s dans le d\u00e9veloppement des leuc\u00e9mies aigu\u00ebs lympho\u00efdes T (LAL-T) et des lymphomes lymphoblastiques T (LL-T). Ces affections touchent certains globules blancs immatures. Apr\u00e8s avoir contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer le pronostic de ces maladies, elle travaille \u00e0 personnaliser la prise en charge et le suivi des patients adultes et p\u00e9diatriques. Elle est \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s active au niveau europ\u00e9en, en tant que membre du bureau de l’Association Europ\u00e9enne d’H\u00e9matologie (EHA) et pr\u00e9sidente r\u00e9cente de cette association. La Docteure Nabila Bouatia-Naji, directrice de recherche \u00e0 l’Inserm et responsable de l’\u00e9quipe \u00ab Approches g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques pour comprendre la maladie art\u00e9rielle \u00bb au Centre de recherche cardiovasculaire de Paris, se consacre \u00e0 la compr\u00e9hension des facteurs de risque g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques associ\u00e9s \u00e0 une forme myst\u00e9rieuse d’infarctus : la dissection spontan\u00e9e de l’art\u00e8re coronaire (SCAD). Cette maladie affecte sans signes avant-coureurs des femmes jeunes, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement autour de 45 ans, m\u00eame si elles m\u00e8nent un mode de vie sain.<\/p>\n

Nabila Bouatia-Naji utilise des approches g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle, l’informatique et les statistiques pour \u00e9tudier les donn\u00e9es g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques de grandes populations saines et de patients ayant surv\u00e9cu \u00e0 cette affection. Elle a r\u00e9cemment d\u00e9couvert que la SCAD r\u00e9sulte de l’accumulation de petites diff\u00e9rences g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques qui, ensemble, perturbent la composition de la matrice qui entoure les cellules des art\u00e8res et leur capacit\u00e9 de r\u00e9paration. Professeure Florence Margottin-Goguet : d\u00e9cryptage des m\u00e9canismes de l’Infection par le virus du Sida<\/h2>\n

La recherche de Professeure Florence Margottin-Goguet, directrice de recherche \u00e0 l’Inserm et coresponsable de l’\u00e9quipe \u00ab R\u00e9trovirus, infection et latence \u00bb \u00e0 l’Institut Cochin, se concentre sur les m\u00e9canismes de d\u00e9fense des cellules de l’organisme lors de l’infection par les r\u00e9trovirus, notamment le VIH-1 et le VIH-2, responsables du sida. Elle \u00e9tudie \u00e9galement la mani\u00e8re dont la machinerie virale contrecarre ces d\u00e9fenses. Un complexe prot\u00e9ique appel\u00e9 HUSH est au centre de ses recherches. Ce complexe semble jouer un r\u00f4le essentiel dans le maintien du virus \u00e0 un \u00e9tat silencieux \u00e0 l’int\u00e9rieur de la cellule infect\u00e9e. Professeur Alexandre Loupy : r\u00e9volutionner la transplantation d’organes<\/h2>\n

Le Professeur Alexandre Loupy, n\u00e9phrologue et Professeur des Universit\u00e9s – Praticien hospitalier, exerce au service de N\u00e9phrologie-transplantation r\u00e9nale adulte de l’h\u00f4pital Necker-Enfants Malades de l’AP-HP. Il est \u00e9galement le responsable de l’\u00e9quipe \u00ab Approche multidimensionnelle en transplantation d’organes \u00bb au Centre de recherche cardiovasculaire de Paris, une collaboration entre l’Inserm et Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Alexandre Loupy s’est donn\u00e9 pour mission de surveiller la r\u00e9action immunitaire des receveurs humains apr\u00e8s une greffe de rein de porc. En collaborant avec des \u00e9quipes internationales, il cherche \u00e0 mettre en place une m\u00e9thode analytique multidimensionnelle standardis\u00e9e pour suivre pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment le rejet du greffon dans le cadre d’essais cliniques de transplantation de rein de porc. La x\u00e9notransplantation, qui consiste \u00e0 utiliser des organes de porcs g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement modifi\u00e9s pour la transplantation chez des patients humains, repr\u00e9sente un espoir majeur pour r\u00e9soudre la p\u00e9nurie de greffons humains. Cependant, le rejet du greffon reste un obstacle majeur \u00e0 cette avanc\u00e9e. Alexandre Loupy et son \u00e9quipe esp\u00e8rent consolider les progr\u00e8s r\u00e9cents gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l’utilisation de reins de porcs g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement modifi\u00e9s, en modulant le traitement anti-rejet pour obtenir une meilleure compatibilit\u00e9 avec le receveur humain.<\/p>\n

Ces diff\u00e9rentes recherches sont essentielles \u00e0 la recherche m\u00e9dicale et ouvrent la voie \u00e0 des avanc\u00e9es cruciales pour l’avenir. Quatre chercheurs de la Facult\u00e9 de Sant\u00e9 d\u2019Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9compens\u00e9s cette ann\u00e9e par la Fondation pour la Recherche M\u00e9dicale (FRM), mettant ainsi en lumi\u00e8re les travaux de pointe men\u00e9s au sein de l’institution.
