R\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/h3>\n

La gyn\u00e9cologie m\u00e9dicale, s\u00e9par\u00e9e de la gyn\u00e9cologie obst\u00e9trique, s\u2019est affirm\u00e9e et maintenue envers et contre tout en France gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des hommes et des femmes d\u2019exception, tels Jean Dalsace, Marie-Andr\u00e9e Lagroua Weill-Hall\u00e9, Albert Netter et Pierre Mauvais-Jarvis ainsi que leurs \u00e9coles respectives, ou encore Max Jayle. Militants et scientifiques, ils ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la p\u00e9renniser. Cet ouvrage relate la prise en charge des maladies des femmes et leur repr\u00e9sentation, de l\u2019Antiquit\u00e9 \u00e0 la gyn\u00e9cologie m\u00e9dicale moderne qui prend naissance au 20e si\u00e8cle. Son histoire est aussi celle d\u2019une lutte pour son autonomie au sein m\u00eame du corps m\u00e9dical. Paradoxalement, certains mouvements f\u00e9ministes remettent en cause aujourd\u2019hui la pertinence de la gyn\u00e9cologie m\u00e9dicale, per\u00e7ue comme une prise de pouvoir sur le corps des femmes. L\u2019ouvrage se compose de quatre parties :<\/p>\n

\u00c0 partir d\u2019archives, l\u2019auteure s\u2019attache \u00e0 restituer une histoire longue et un combat r\u00e9cent dont on ressent aujourd\u2019hui les cons\u00e9quences dans la rar\u00e9faction des consultations de gyn\u00e9cologie m\u00e9dicale. Celles-ci ont fait partie de la prise en charge par les femmes de leur sant\u00e9, source d\u2019autonomie tant par la pr\u00e9vention des maladies que par l\u2019\u00e9ducation \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 ou encore le choix des soins. L\u2019auteure s\u2019attache \u00e0 montrer le b\u00e9n\u00e9fice pour les femmes et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 du d\u00e9veloppement de ces consultations sp\u00e9cifiques \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 des femmes et le danger de leur disparition notamment pour la pr\u00e9vention. Ce livre s\u2019adresse aux \u00e9tudiant.e.s en m\u00e9decine, aux historien.ne.s de la m\u00e9decine et \u00e0 toutes les femmes. Ils y trouveront un r\u00e9cit passionnant sur l\u2019av\u00e8nement de la m\u00e9decine des femmes et l\u2019histoire d\u2019un combat qui n\u2019est jamais gagn\u00e9 d\u00e9finitivement d\u00e8s qu\u2019il s\u2019agit de la question des femmes.<\/div>\n
