Lors du Congr\u00e8s 2023 de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Europ\u00e9enne de Transplantation (ESOT), qui s’est tenu \u00e0 Ath\u00e8nes, Le Paris Institute for Transplantation & Organ Regeneration <\/em>(PITOR) – Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9, a \u00e9t\u00e9 distingu\u00e9e en recevant le prestigieux Prix Stronger Together ESOT 2023. Avec une approche multi-organes, l’Institut PITOR s\u2019est d\u00e9marqu\u00e9 avec plus d\u2019une quarantaine de travaux pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s durant le Congr\u00e8s. Ces derniers ont couvert une vaste gamme de th\u00e9matiques actuelles de la Transplantation d\u2019organes solides, Reins, C\u0153ur, Poumons, Foie, allant de l\u2019Immunologie Fondamentale \u00e0 la X\u00e9notransplantation, en passant par l\u2019Intelligence Artificielle. Les chercheurs ont \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 des pistes th\u00e9rapeutiques prometteuses pour la prise en charge des patients avant, pendant et apr\u00e8s la greffe, avec notamment des am\u00e9liorations de l’appariement donneur-receveur.<\/p>\n

Les recherches de PITOR : Des avanc\u00e9es cruciales dans le domaine de la Greffe<\/h2>\n

Le rejet demeure l’un des obstacles majeurs dans le succ\u00e8s des transplantations d’organes, en particulier dans le cas des transplantations r\u00e9nales. Cette r\u00e9alit\u00e9 est d’autant plus pr\u00e9occupante compte tenu de la p\u00e9nurie mondiale d’organes disponibles pour les patients en attente de transplantation. La complexit\u00e9 du diagnostic du rejet, essentiel pour comprendre et classer sa nature et sa gravit\u00e9, repr\u00e9sente un d\u00e9fi quotidien pour les m\u00e9decins, qui se trouvent parfois dans des situations o\u00f9 le diagnostic pr\u00e9cis devient une t\u00e2che ardue.<\/p>\n

Pour faire face \u00e0 ce d\u00e9fi, PITOR s\u2019est donn\u00e9 l\u2019objectif de f\u00e9d\u00e9rer la Recherche en Transplantation et R\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d’organes au sein de l’Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9. Il vise \u00e0 renforcer les collaborations et la formation entre les \u00e9quipes de recherche et les \u00e9quipes cliniques de toutes les sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s m\u00e9dicales et chirurgicales pour favoriser l’interdisciplinarit\u00e9 et entreprendre des projets ambitieux. L\u2019Institut s’appuie autant sur les sciences fondamentales que sur les sciences \u00e9mergentes comme l’Intelligence Artificielle afin d\u2019am\u00e9liorer la performance des organes greff\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

\u200b\u200bLa reconnaissance par le Prix Stronger Together ESOT 2023 met en lumi\u00e8re l’importance des collaborations dans le domaine de la recherche m\u00e9dicale, souligne la valeur exceptionnelle de cette recherche et encourage l’ensemble de la communaut\u00e9 m\u00e9dicale \u00e0 poursuivre les efforts visant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer les r\u00e9sultats des transplantations d’organes.
