Pr\u00e9sentation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le blanc est un concept majeur dans la r\u00e9flexion sur les relations entre \u00e9criture et figure.\u00a0Souvent th\u00e9oris\u00e9 en Occident comme un vide, un manque qui s\u2019oppose \u00e0 la mat\u00e9rialit\u00e9 de la figure ou du signe \u00e9crit, il a souvent aussi fascin\u00e9 les artistes et les \u00e9crivains qui s\u2019en sont empar\u00e9s.\u00a0En Asie orientale, il est vu au contraire comme un principe structurant, indispensable \u00e0 toute cr\u00e9ation de l\u2019esprit et de la main.<\/p>\n

Les vingt-quatre contributions r\u00e9unies dans le pr\u00e9sent ouvrage constituent une r\u00e9ponse collective \u00e0 la question des formes et des enjeux du blanc dans les civilisations de l\u2019\u00e9criture. Par-del\u00e0 la diversit\u00e9 de leurs objets d\u2019\u00e9tude (sceaux, calligraphies, typographies, manuscrits et livres d\u2019artistes, po\u00e9sie, r\u00e9cit, roman graphique, bande dessin\u00e9e, peinture, photographie) et des approches qu\u2019elles convoquent, elles se proposent d\u2019envisager le blanc comme un espace plut\u00f4t que comme une couleur, comme une valeur positive plut\u00f4t que comme un manque, comme un composant plein de l\u2019image et du texte plut\u00f4t que comme un silence au sein d\u2019une parole. Elles invitent le lecteur \u00e0 un renversement \u00e9pist\u00e9mologique, aux prolongements fertiles dans de nombreuses disciplines des sciences humaines.<\/p>\n
