We are currently in a crisis situation and unsure when it will end. It is vital to understand how we can improve our response in preparation for the next wave of COVID-19, although lessons learned will also be relevant to future threats. Multiple projects are currently tackling different aspects of COVID-19 ranging from treatment to risk communication. In addition to this profusion of research, expert opinions often contain contradictory opinions and even misinformation. How are we supposed to understand what is the best way forward?<\/p>\n

Our goal is to identify a sound methodology for developing lessons learned for hospital and public health teams\/actors in our five study countries. We will identify various approaches for developing lessons learned, in addition to examining effective knowledge transfers activities to influence the use of lessons learned. A systematic \u00ab\u00a0rapid review\u00a0\u00bb is conducted to determine the best method for developing high-quality lessons learned. A mixed methodology combining quantitative questionnaires and qualitative interviews will be used to identify effective knowledge transfer activities as well as other factors that influence the use of lessons learned.
