En janvier 2023 le GRIP a lanc\u00e9 un nouveau projet de recherche autour des pratiques en science ouverte avec ses partenaires internationaux de l’Am\u00e9rique Latine et l’Afrique !<\/p>\n

La transition vers le libre acc\u00e8s de nombreuses revues incluses dans les index dominants au niveau mondial tels que Clarivate Web of Science et Scopus pr\u00e9sente un dilemme relativement nouveau et complexe pour les chercheurs bas\u00e9s dans les pays semi-p\u00e9riph\u00e9riques (Global South). Ce dilemme repose sur le d\u00e9veloppement des pratiques actuelles de publication en libre acc\u00e8s, o\u00f9 les publications sont imm\u00e9diatement accessibles sans abonnement ni frais pour le lecteur, et o\u00f9 le co\u00fbt de la publication est transf\u00e9r\u00e9 aux auteurs. Ces co\u00fbts, appel\u00e9s frais de page d’auteur ou APC, deviennent de plus en plus on\u00e9reux, imposant des contraintes financi\u00e8res aux auteurs et \u00e0 leurs universit\u00e9s d’accueil ou, pire, les emp\u00eachant de participer \u00e0 la production et \u00e0 la diffusion des r\u00e9sultats de leurs recherches dans le syst\u00e8me mondial de communication scientifique. Des revues telles que Nature, par exemple, ont fait part de leur intention de facturer jusqu’\u00e0 9 000 euros pour chaque article publi\u00e9.
Une enqu\u00eate r\u00e9cente a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que la plupart des chercheurs d’Am\u00e9rique latine et d’Afrique ont une opinion positive de la publication en libre acc\u00e8s. Dans le cas de l’Afrique, 78 % sont tout \u00e0 fait d’accord, tandis qu’en Am\u00e9rique latine, 71 % des personnes interrog\u00e9es sont tout \u00e0 fait d’accord avec l’affirmation suivante : \u00ab\u00a0Le libre acc\u00e8s aux articles de recherche devrait \u00eatre une pratique scientifique courante\u00a0\u00bb. Du point de vue de la science dans le Sud, cette situation est tr\u00e8s inqui\u00e9tante car les chercheurs peuvent \u00eatre conscients des avantages que le libre acc\u00e8s offre en termes d’acc\u00e8s mais ne sont peut-\u00eatre pas encore pleinement conscients des risques. L’exemple du Mexique est frappant des contradictions qu’implique la fa\u00e7on dont le libre acc\u00e8s est per\u00e7u. Le Mexique est le pays d’origine de trois portails\/services d’indexation en libre acc\u00e8s ayant un impact r\u00e9gional (Biblat, Latindex et RedALyC), qui ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u00e9finir les bonnes pratiques pour l’adoption de normes de qualit\u00e9 par les revues scientifiques de la r\u00e9gion ; il dispose d’une loi qui introduit des exigences en mati\u00e8re de libre acc\u00e8s et le d\u00e9veloppement d’un d\u00e9p\u00f4t national (70% des chercheurs disent avoir publi\u00e9 des articles en libre acc\u00e8s). N\u00e9anmoins, c’est un pays o\u00f9 la communaut\u00e9 scientifique ne compte que 39% de scientifiques qui consid\u00e8rent le libre acc\u00e8s comme un aspect essentiel lors de la publication de r\u00e9sultats. De plus, l’un des premiers accords Read&Publish avec des \u00e9diteurs commerciaux a r\u00e9cemment \u00e9t\u00e9 sign\u00e9.<\/p>\n

L’objectif g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du projet est de comprendre les pratiques, les perceptions et les connaissances des chercheurs du Sud en mati\u00e8re de publications scientifiques et de libre acc\u00e8s. La m\u00e9thodologie propos\u00e9e consiste \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser une enqu\u00eate en ligne et \u00e0 g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des interactions intercontinentales productives, \u00e0 travers un r\u00e9seau initial de cinq pays : Afrique du Sud, S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, Br\u00e9sil, Argentine et Mexique. Apr\u00e8s une meilleure compr\u00e9hension des pratiques de publication des chercheurs du Sud, le projet vise \u00e0 discuter et \u00e0 proposer des recommandations pour stimuler la publication non commerciale et savante en libre acc\u00e8s.<\/p>\n
