V\u00e9ronique Dupont, <\/strong>d\u00e9mographe, est directrice de recherche \u00e0 l\u2019Institut de Recherche pour le D\u00e9veloppement (IRD), rattach\u00e9e au Centre d\u2019\u00c9tudes en Sciences Sociales sur les Mondes Africains, Am\u00e9ricains et Asiatique (CESSMA, Unit\u00e9 de Recherche Mixte : Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 \u2013 INALCO \u2013 IRD). Elle est membre associ\u00e9e du Centre d\u2019\u00c9tudes de l\u2019Inde et de l\u2019Asie du Sud et chercheuse invit\u00e9e au Centre for Policy Research de Delhi.<\/p>\n

Ses recherches portent sur les transformations des m\u00e9tropoles indiennes, en se situant \u00e0 l\u2019interface entre les pratiques habitantes et l\u2019action publique, avec une attention particuli\u00e8re port\u00e9e aux processus d\u2019exclusion socio-spatiale. Elle s’int\u00e9resse notamment aux mobilit\u00e9s r\u00e9sidentielles des populations, aux politiques publiques en direction des quartiers pr\u00e9caires (l\u2019habitat informel), et aux strat\u00e9gies de r\u00e9sistance et d\u2019adaptation des populations de ces quartiers. Dans ce contexte, les questions du droit \u00e0 ville et de citoyennet\u00e9 urbaine sont au c\u0153ur de ses pr\u00e9occupations.<\/p>\n

Elle a particip\u00e9 au comit\u00e9 de pilotage de la prospective nationale de recherche urbaine, initi\u00e9e par le CNRS (2015-2020), et \u00e0 l\u2019ouvrage qui en est r\u00e9sult\u00e9, Pour la recherche urbaine<\/em> (CNRS \u00c9ditions, 2020).\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Des \u00eelots insalubres du XXe si\u00e8cle \u00e0 la politique de la ville aujourd\u2019hui en passant par les politiques des centres bourgs, Yankel Fijalkow<\/strong> analyse la ville qui va mal : argumentaires, gouvernance, discours, r\u00e9cits et repr\u00e9sentations du renouvellement de la ville.
