Carlo Giovanni Camarda<\/strong> est charg\u00e9 de recherche \u00e0 l’Institut National d’\u00c9tudes D\u00e9mographiques (Ined) en France et est actuellement responsable de l’unit\u00e9 de recherche \u00ab\u00a0Mortalit\u00e9, sant\u00e9 et \u00e9pid\u00e9miologie\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

De 2007 \u00e0 2012, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 chercheur au Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research<\/em> \u00e0 Rostock (Allemagne). Il a re\u00e7u sa premi\u00e8re formation universitaire \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 La Sapienza<\/em> de Rome (Italie) sur les sciences statistiques sociales et d\u00e9mographiques. Il a ensuite poursuivi ses \u00e9tudes au Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research<\/em> au sein du laboratoire de Statistical Demography<\/em>. Il a soutenu une th\u00e8se de doctorat sur les \u00ab\u00a0M\u00e9thodes de lissage pour l’analyse du d\u00e9veloppement de la mortalit\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 l’universit\u00e9 Carlos III de Madrid.<\/p>\n

Ses int\u00e9r\u00eats vont de la projection de la mortalit\u00e9 avec des techniques de lissage et par des distributions d’\u00e2ge \u00e0 la mort, \u00e0 la th\u00e9orie g\u00e9n\u00e9rale pour la biod\u00e9mographie du vieillissement humain, en passant par la mod\u00e9lisation des mod\u00e8les de digit preference<\/em>, les mod\u00e8les de warping<\/em> pour les distributions de la vie, la mod\u00e9lisation et le lissage des surfaces de mortalit\u00e9 et la reconstruction des s\u00e9ries de mortalit\u00e9 par causes de d\u00e9c\u00e8s. Il a \u00e9galement \u00e0 son actif de nombreuses collaborations dans des institutions de recherche europ\u00e9ennes, et il a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 diverses activit\u00e9s d’enseignement. Il a \u00e9crit des articles de recherche dans le domaine de la d\u00e9mographie et des statistiques et a con\u00e7u un package R<\/em> pour le lissage et la pr\u00e9vision de la mortalit\u00e9.<\/p>\n
