What Are Bilateral Agreements?<\/h3>\n
Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 has a number of direct agreements with institutions around the world. These partnerships aim to promote and develop interinstitutional cooperation. Reciprocal in nature, these agreements allow Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 to welcome students from diverse backgrounds and send its students abroad to expand their horizons.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Contact the International Relations Office of your home institution to ensure that a bilateral agreement<\/strong><\/a> concerning your discipline and level of study has been signed with our University.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Be officially nominated<\/strong> as an exchange student by your International Relations Office. Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9\u2019s Strategy and International Relations Office will reject applications without an official nomination.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Have at least a B2 level of French<\/strong> (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) to be able to attend classes at Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9, which are primarily taught in French.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n\nBefore You Arrive<\/h4>\n
1. The Strategy and International Relations Office will inform you by e-mail of the first steps to accomplish before your arrival to Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9.<\/p>\n
2. For non-EU students, you will have to begin your student visa<\/strong> application process. Visas are compulsory<\/u> for stays of more than 3 months. For more details, contact your local French consulate or Campus France (CEF) based on your country of origin.<\/p>\n
3. Begin searching for accommodation<\/strong> on your own, even if you have applied for housing through the International Relations Office. Accommodation Information<\/a><\/p>\n
When You Arrive<\/h4>\n
1. Participate in the welcome meeting<\/strong> organized at the start of each semester or go to the Strategy and International Relations Office for the necessary information.<\/p>\n
You will be given a new learning agreement for you to make any changes to the original. You will then be put in contact with your academic coordinator at Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9.<\/p>\n
2. Visit the department(s) offering the courses you will be taking<\/strong> in order to complete the academic registration process.<\/p>\n
During Your Stay<\/h4>\n
You will finalize your definitive learning agreement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
Finalized learning agreements are to be handed in during the first month after the start of classes. They are to be signed by the academic coordinator at Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9, the exchange coordinator at your home university, as well as by our Strategy and International Relations Office.<\/p>\n
Note: you are to inform the department office of any changes to your studies.<\/p>\n
If you have other documents that need to be signed, in particular for scholarships, you are to visit the International Relations Office.<\/p>\n
Before You Leave<\/h4>\n
You must go to the International Relations Office to officially end your mobility<\/strong> on the week of your departure. We will give you a certificate of attendance and sign any other documents that may be required by your home university.<\/p>\n
After You Leave<\/h4>\n
The Strategy and International Relations Office will send your official transcript<\/strong> to you at the end of February for first semester exchange students and at the end of July for second semester and full-year exchange students.<\/p>\n
Grades in France are presented out of 20, with 0 being the lowest and 20 being the highest. A passing grade for an exam is 10.<\/p>\n
The grading scale is set as follows: 18-20 excellent, 16-18 very good, 14-16 good, 12-14 satisfactory, 10-12 sufficient.<\/p>\n
Note<\/u>: France is known for its strict grading system and 14\/20 is considered a good grade. Generally, students are given grades ranging from 11 to 12\/20.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
