- You will be invited to a welcome meeting held by the Strategy and International Relations Office. You will receive your student card<\/strong> and certificates of enrollment<\/strong> (certificats de scolarit\u00e9<\/em>).\u00a0<\/li>\n
- Visit the department(s) offering the courses you will be taking in order to complete the academic registration process<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
During Your Stay<\/h3>\n

- Finalize your learning agreement<\/strong> if there are any changes.
Note<\/u>: Any modifications to your academic registration are to be communicated to the department(s) in which you will be studying before the end of October (for the first semester). Beyond this date, only modifications to second semester classes will be taken into account.\u00a0<\/li>\n- Have your definitive learning agreement signed by the exchange coordinator at Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 before the end of October for the first semester<\/em> and before the end of February for the second semester<\/em>. Then, send your learning agreement to your home institution for your coordinator to sign. A copy of the learning agreement signed by the two exchange coordinators is to be sent to the Strategy and International Relations Office.<\/li>\n
- If you wish to extend your stay, you are to request approval from your exchange coordinators and present written proof of their approval to the Strategy and International Relations Office.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Go to the Strategy and International Relations Office for a Certificate of Attendance<\/strong> and verify your permanent address to receive your transcript<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
After Leaving Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9<\/h3>\n
Our International Relations Office will send your official transcript to you 6 weeks after your time at the University has ended. A copy will also be sent to your home university.<\/p>\n
Note<\/u>: For students of joint programs, your transcript will be sent by your department.<\/p>\n
Grades in France are presented out of 20, with 0 being the lowest and 20 being the highest. A passing grade for an exam is 10.
The grading scale is set as follows: 18-20 excellent, 16-18 very good, 14-16 good, 12-14 satisfactory, 10-12 sufficient.
Note<\/u>: France is known for its strict grading system and 14\/20 is considered a good grade. \n\n\n\n\nUniversit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 offers two types of French classes :<\/p>\n
\n
- The Intensive Course in French Language and Civilization<\/strong> (SILC) is an intensive language course offered at the start of semesters 1 and 2, which has the added benefit of including cultural activities to its program. The SILC is an optional course and has a cost of \u20ac250 per week. Students will receive 2 ECTS at the end of the course.<\/li>\n
- Language courses<\/strong> in French language, grammar and civilization are offered each semester. Students can choose two courses per semester, namely 1 grammar course and\/or 1 workshop. Each course gives students 3 ECTS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Linguistic Criteria<\/h3>\n
It is essential for incoming exchange students at Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 to have a good command of French (comprehension, written\/oral expression) BEFORE the start of their studies.<\/p>\n
The required language level for attending classes at Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 is B1 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).<\/p>\n
