\u00c0 l\u2019initiative d\u2019un groupe d\u2019\u00e9tudiants et \u00e9tudiantes sp\u00e9cialistes des sciences des mat\u00e9riaux, Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 a obtenu la reconnaissance d\u2019une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 savante internationale\u00a0: la Materials Research Society (MRS). En constituant le premier \u00ab\u00a0MRS University Chapter\u00a0\u00bb en France, Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 via sa Facult\u00e9 des Sciences entend mettre en valeur l\u2019excellence de sa recherche et ses formations autour des sciences des mat\u00e9riaux.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Que ce soit dans les domaines de la transition \u00e9cologique, de la sant\u00e9, des transports, du patrimoine, les applications des sciences des mat\u00e9riaux s\u2019\u00e9tendent de mani\u00e8re spectaculaire\u00a0:\u00a0\u00ab Les batteries de nos smartphones, les cellules photovolta\u00efques mais aussi des implants biom\u00e9dicaux ou des surfaces anticorrosives qui permettent de r\u00e9habiliter des monuments\u2026 Et demain, les recherches en cours permettront de fabriquer de la peau artificielle, d\u2019administrer des nanoparticules m\u00e9dicamenteuses \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019hydrogel ou de capsules \u00e0 ing\u00e9rer\u2026\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0<\/em>explique Souad Ammar, professeure de chimie des mat\u00e9riaux.<\/em>\u00a0Tous ces r\u00e9sultats de recherches en sciences des mat\u00e9riaux, relevant de la chimie, de la physique, de la biologie, sont promus \u00e0 l\u2019international par une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 savante qui regroupe environ 11 200 chercheurs et chercheuses des universit\u00e9s et de l\u2019industrie de plus de 90 pays.<\/p>\n

Acc\u00e8s \u00e0 un r\u00e9seau d\u2019excellence mondial<\/strong><\/p>\n

La MRS (Materials Research Society<\/a>), bas\u00e9e aux \u00c9tats-Unis depuis 1973, offre un environnement collaboratif pour l\u2019\u00e9change d\u2019id\u00e9es gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des s\u00e9minaires, des publications et des conf\u00e9rences. Elle implique des chercheurs et chercheuses confirm\u00e9es des quatre coins de la plan\u00e8te, mais aussi les \u00e9tudiants et \u00e9tudiantes des universit\u00e9s. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 savante dispose en effet du programme \u00ab\u00a0MRS University Chapter\u00a0<\/a>\u00bb qui vise \u00e0 constituer un r\u00e9seau \u00e9tudiant afin de pr\u00e9parer les prochaines g\u00e9n\u00e9rations \u00e0 la recherche en mat\u00e9riaux. S\u2019il existe une centaine de \u00ab\u00a0MRS University Chapter\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 travers le monde, l\u2019Europe n\u2019en comptait que trois et la France, aucun. Un groupe d\u2019\u00e9tudiants et \u00e9tudiantes d\u2019Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 a donc entrepris d\u2019\u00e9laborer un dossier de candidature \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 2020. Christophe-Landry Tiani, \u00e9tudiant ing\u00e9nieur \u00e0 l\u2019EIDD et Larissa Chaperman, doctorante au sein du laboratoire ITODYS (Interfaces Traitements Organisation et Dynamique des Syst\u00e8mes), ont pris la t\u00eate de ce groupe de huit personnes, aid\u00e9 par Souad Ammar, professeure de chimie et chercheuse au laboratoire ITODYS et Christian Ricolleau, professeur de physique et chercheur au laboratoire MPQ (Mat\u00e9riaux et Ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes Quantiques).\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0Nous avons mis en valeur l\u2019interdisciplinarit\u00e9 de notre universit\u00e9 et la pertinence des recherches dans nos laboratoires (ITODYS, MPQ, MSC, LISA, LCBPT, URB2i, LIED \u2026)\u00a0\u00bb,<\/em>\u00a0souligne Christophe-Landry Tiani, pr\u00e9sident \u00e9tudiant de MRS Paris Chapter.<\/p>\n

Des actions de promotion et des rendez-vous scientifiques \u00e0 venir<\/strong><\/p>\n

La bonne nouvelle est tomb\u00e9e le 11 mars dernier, une lettre informe le groupe qu\u2019Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 est reconnue en tant que \u00ab\u00a0MRS Chapter\u00a0\u00bb, ce qui fait d\u2019elle la pionni\u00e8re en France. Cette reconnaissance va se traduire dans les prochains mois par l\u2019organisation de workshops et de conf\u00e9rences.\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0Nous nous sommes d\u00e9j\u00e0 rapproch\u00e9s du MRS Chapter de l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Cologne qui travaille sur la th\u00e9matique des \u00e9nergies renouvelables, nous aimerions proposer un temps fort d\u00e8s que les restrictions sanitaires seront lev\u00e9es\u00a0sur ces probl\u00e9matiques \u00bb<\/em>. Le MRS Paris Chapter, qui n\u2019est pas une association \u00e9tudiante mais une partie prenante de l\u2019universit\u00e9, comme le pr\u00e9cise Larissa Chaperman, entend \u00e9galement promouvoir les recherches et les formations des sciences des mat\u00e9riaux en interne, aupr\u00e8s des \u00e9tudiants de Licence et m\u00eame des lyc\u00e9ens franciliens. Pour cela, le groupe r\u00e9alise des interviews de dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s devenus chercheur ou ing\u00e9nieur qui \u00e9voquent ce que leur a apport\u00e9 la formation \u00e0 Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 dans l\u2019exercice de leur m\u00e9tier. Christian Ricolleau voit un dernier avantage \u00e0 la constitution du MRS Paris Chapter,\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0Ce r\u00e9seau offre la possibilit\u00e9 aux \u00e9tudiants et \u00e9tudiantes de trouver plus facilement des stages \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger. Et r\u00e9ciproquement, maintenant qu\u2019Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 figure sur la liste de la MRS, nos laboratoires pourront accueillir des \u00e9tudiants et \u00e9tudiantes au niveau international en int\u00e9grant des \u00e9quipes de recherche de haut niveau. Cela participe \u00e0 la volont\u00e9 d\u2019ouverture internationale d\u2019Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Pour faire vivre le MRS Paris Chapter, le groupe invite camarades, mais aussi partenaires et toute personne int\u00e9ress\u00e9e par la science des mat\u00e9riaux \u00e0 les rejoindre :<\/p>\n
