La SUAD Youth COP est une simulation virtuelle de n\u00e9gociation de la COP (Conf\u00e9rence des Parties) de la Convention-cadre des Nations Unies sur les changements climatiques (CCNUCC) organis\u00e9e par l\u2019universit\u00e9 Sorbonne Abu Dhabi (SUAD), dont l’universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 est partenaire.<\/p>\n

L\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement aura lieu \u00e0 distance en septembre 2024 et permettra aux 25 \u00e9quipes s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es (50 \u00e9tudiants au total) d\u2019\u00e9changer autour de 2 th\u00e9matiques principales : la biodiversit\u00e9 et la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique juste. Les documents produit \u00e0 l\u2019issue des discussions sera pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 lors de la COP29 \u00e0 Baku (Azerba\u00efdjan) en novembre prochain.<\/p>\n

SUAD Youth COP a pour objectif d\u2019offrir aux \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 de d\u00e9velopper leur esprit critique sur les d\u00e9fis que repr\u00e9sentent les changements climatiques, de comprendre le r\u00f4le des \u00e9tats et des organisations internationales dans l\u2019\u00e9laboration de la politique climatique mondiale, et d\u2019am\u00e9liorer leurs comp\u00e9tences transf\u00e9rables telles que le travail d\u2019\u00e9quipe, le compromis et la r\u00e9solution des conflits.<\/p>\n

L\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement est ouvert aux \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants internationaux. Chaque \u00e9quipe devra \u00eatre compos\u00e9e de deux \u00e9tudiantes ou \u00e9tudiants d\u2019un m\u00eame \u00e9tablissement d\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur, \u00e0 partir de la L2. Les membres de l\u2019\u00e9quipe devront fournir une preuve de leur inscription et la copie d\u2019un passeport en cours de validit\u00e9. Les n\u00e9gociations auront lieu en anglais : un bon niveau de langue est donc requis.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 la fin de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement, les \u00e9quipes seront class\u00e9es en fonction de leurs performances bas\u00e9es sur le niveau de participation, le respect de la politique \u00e9trang\u00e8re du pays repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 et la force des arguments avanc\u00e9s.
Une fois le classement \u00e9tabli, deux types de prix seront d\u00e9cern\u00e9s :<\/p>\n
