The CSSC project was selected in March 2023 by Paris Cit\u00e9 University as part of STRATEX funding from the French government’s Investissements d’Avenir program (PIA, Investments for the Future Program), as a project with high potential for commercial value or impact.<\/p>\n

The CSSC project draws on existing definitions in international law, in particular the notion of \u00ab\u00a0cultural diversity\u00a0\u00bb established in Article 4.1 of the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. Cultural diversity refers to the \u00ab\u00a0manifold ways in which the cultures of groups and societies find expression\u00a0\u00bb. It is a dynamic and evolving concept, based on transmission between and within groups. \u00ab\u00a0Cultural diversity is made manifest not only through the varied ways in which the cultural heritage of humanity is expressed, augmented and transmitted through the variety of cultural expressions, but also through diverse modes of artistic creation, production, dissemination, distribution and enjoyment, whatever the means and technologies used\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

We are looking for companies willing to be interviewed to share their initiatives and thoughts on the subject.<\/strong> These companies will receive a series of questions to prepare for one or two interviews, each lasting around 1 hour. Interviews may be conducted by videoconference.<\/p>\n
We are also looking for pilot companies to test our deliverables throughout the project.<\/strong> This will involve sharing information on a more regular basis (every 2 months or so) on the progress of the project and asking for opinions and feedback.<\/p>\n

Le projet CSSC s\u2019inspire des d\u00e9finitions existantes en droit international, et notamment de la notion de \u00ab diversit\u00e9 culturelle \u00bb \u00e9tablie \u00e0 l\u2019article 4.1 de la Convention de l\u2019UNESCO de 2005 sur la protection et la promotion de la diversit\u00e9 des expressions culturelles. La diversit\u00e9 culturelle se r\u00e9f\u00e8re ainsi \u00ab \u00e0 la multiplicit\u00e9 des formes par lesquelles les cultures des groupes et des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s trouvent leur expression \u00bb. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un concept dynamique et \u00e9volutif, fond\u00e9 sur la transmission entre et au sein des groupes. \u00ab La diversit\u00e9 culturelle se manifeste non seulement dans les formes vari\u00e9es \u00e0 travers lesquelles le patrimoine culturel de l\u2019humanit\u00e9 est exprim\u00e9, enrichi et transmis gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la vari\u00e9t\u00e9 des expressions culturelles, mais aussi \u00e0 travers divers modes de cr\u00e9ation artistique, de production, de diffusion, de distribution et de jouissance des expressions culturelles, quels que soient les moyens et les technologies utilis\u00e9s \u00bb.<\/p>

L\u2019\u00e9laboration d\u2019une grille et de lignes directrices de reporting<\/em> pour le secteur priv\u00e9, accompagn\u00e9es d\u2019une m\u00e9thodologie de notation int\u00e9gr\u00e9e \u00e0 une plateforme de collecte de donn\u00e9es.<\/strong> Sur la base d\u2019un syst\u00e8me de notation objectif, cette plateforme permettra de\u00a0:
- produire des rapports utiles pour les entreprises ;
- rendre visible et comparable toute initiative en faveur de la diversit\u00e9 culturelle au sein des entreprises (par exemple, des efforts en mati\u00e8re de recrutement, management interculturel et communication interculturelle) et \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur de ces m\u00eames entreprises, que ce soit aupr\u00e8s des communaut\u00e9s, artistes, institutions culturelles, associations, gouvernements locaux et nationaux, ainsi qu\u2019organisations internationales ;

Nous recherchons des entreprises qui accepteraient d\u2019\u00eatre interview\u00e9es afin de partager leurs initiatives et leur r\u00e9flexion \u00e0 ce sujet.<\/strong> Ces entreprises recevront une s\u00e9rie de questions \u00e0 pr\u00e9parer en amont d\u2019une ou deux interviews d\u2019environ 1 heure chacune. Les interviews pourront \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9es par visioconf\u00e9rence.<\/p>
Nous recherchons \u00e9galement des entreprises pilotes afin de tester nos livrables tout au long du projet.<\/strong> Ceci impliquera un partage d\u2019informations plus r\u00e9gulier (tous les 2 mois environ) sur l\u2019avanc\u00e9e du projet et la demande d\u2019avis et de retour d\u2019exp\u00e9riences.<\/p>
