Pr\u00e9sentation<\/h3>\n

Le s\u00e9minaire P\u00e9LiAS (P\u00e9riodiques, Litt\u00e9rature, Arts et Sciences) se propose d\u2019\u00e9tudier les p\u00e9riodiques artistiques, litt\u00e9raires et scientifiques du xviiie<\/sup> si\u00e8cle au xxe<\/sup> si\u00e8cle en tant que m\u00e9diateurs culturels. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019analyser les p\u00e9riodiques en tant que constructions sociales, mat\u00e9rielles et entrepreneuriales, faisant intervenir de multiples acteurs\u00a0: \u00e9crivains, artistes, typographes, graveurs, imprimeurs, \u00e9diteurs, ou lecteurs\u2026 et touchant des milieux socio-professionnels vari\u00e9s (milieux artistiques et litt\u00e9raires, scientifiques, universitaires, th\u00e9\u00e2tres, galeries, maisons d\u2019\u00e9dition\u2026).<\/p>\n

L\u2019approche adopt\u00e9e est double\u00a0: les p\u00e9riodiques sont interrog\u00e9s en tant que support de communication appartenant \u00e0 la culture de l\u2019imprim\u00e9 et en tant qu\u2019objet culturel pluridisciplinaire. La notion de m\u00e9diateur<\/em> permet \u00e9galement d\u2019insister sur la circulation des id\u00e9es, des textes, des images et des r\u00e9dacteurs. Les p\u00e9riodiques sont pens\u00e9s en termes de \u00ab\u00a0r\u00e9seau\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0: un dialogue s\u2019\u00e9tablit entre les diff\u00e9rents p\u00e9riodiques, au-del\u00e0 des cat\u00e9gories traditionnelles qui opposent grande et petite presse, revues et livres, revues artistiques et litt\u00e9raires et revues scientifiques. Enfin, les p\u00e9riodiques sont \u00e9tudi\u00e9s dans leur dimension de vulgarisation, tant au niveau litt\u00e9raire que scientifique, et dans leur rapport au livre et aux diff\u00e9rents publics.<\/p>\n

La th\u00e9matique de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2024-2025, \u00ab\u00a0Middlebrow Culture\u00a0\u00bb, permettra d\u2019approfondir le r\u00f4le de m\u00e9diateur des p\u00e9riodiques \u00e0 partir de supports interm\u00e9diaires qui permettent de faire le lien entre une culture populaire et une culture plus \u00e9litiste.<\/p>\n
