L’insurrection est intimement li\u00e9e \u00e0 la ville puisque c’est en son sein qu’elle atteint sa plus grande r\u00e9percussion dans le contexte politique. Son explosion est \u00e0 mettre en rapport avec l’entr\u00e9e dans la Modernit\u00e9 ou l’une de ses r\u00e9p\u00e9titions cycliques de crises et moments de convulsion, et il\u00a0est\u00a0difficile d\u2019imaginer une autre ville davantage identifi\u00e9e avec l’imaginaire insurrectionnel que Paris. Sa tradition r\u00e9volutionnaire, ant\u00e9rieure \u00e0 la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre date de 1789, parle d\u00e9j\u00e0 d’abus de pouvoir despote, de mis\u00e8res et de r\u00e9bellion, de masses affam\u00e9es se soulevant devant les b\u00e2timents publics, de forces de l’ordre chargeant pour disperser la foule\u2026\u00a0Mais l’ampleur atteinte lors de son d\u00e9veloppement post\u00e9rieur \u00e0 cette date fait d’elle un authentique arch\u00e9type de la ville insurg\u00e9e.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
La flamme de l’insurrection rena\u00eet\u00a0en 1968, mais ce n\u2019est pas dans les quartiers populaires ou les usines cette fois. C’est l\u2019universit\u00e9 qui allume\u00a0la m\u00e8che. Si dans un premier temps, nous pouvons inscrire ces \u00e9v\u00e9nements dans un contexte global plus large, l\u2019ampleur que les protestations atteignent\u00a0dans le cas de Paris \u2013jusqu’\u00e0 d\u00e9boucher sur la plus grande gr\u00e8ve de France au XXe si\u00e8cle\u2013 rejoint directement cette tradition r\u00e9volutionnaire h\u00e9rit\u00e9e.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Dans la premi\u00e8re partie de cette conf\u00e9rence, il s\u2019agira d\u2019esquisser tr\u00e8s bri\u00e8vement comment on en arrive \u00e0 cette id\u00e9e de lire la ville comme un discours\u00a0id\u00e9ologique, en rappelant les sources dans lesquelles puise cette analyse de l’espace urbain. Ensuite, dans la lign\u00e9e de Walter Benjamin, Henri Lefebvre ou David Harvey plus r\u00e9cemment, nous illustrerons cette perspective analytique tout au long du XX<\/span>e<\/sup><\/span>\u00a0si\u00e8cle, puis nous en soulignerons les nouvelles lectures possibles. Enfin, la deuxi\u00e8me partie sera consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019analyse d\u2019un espace concret \u00e0 un moment tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cis de l\u2019histoire, \u00e0 savoir les Champs-Elys\u00e9es et l\u2019Arc de Triomphe lors de l\u2019insurrection universitaire et ouvri\u00e8re de mai 1968.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Enseignant-chercheur en litt\u00e9rature fran\u00e7aise et compar\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Grenade et chercheur visiteur au CERILAC pendant l\u2019automne 2023, Angel Clemente Escobar est agr\u00e9g\u00e9 d\u2019espagnol et Docteur international en litt\u00e9rature compar\u00e9e de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Complutense de Madrid. Lors de sa p\u00e9riode postdoctorale, il a travaill\u00e9 au sein de diff\u00e9rentes universit\u00e9s fran\u00e7aises. Sa th\u00e8se de doctorat, qui porte sur les repr\u00e9sentations litt\u00e9raires de Mai 68 \u00e0 Paris, vient d\u2019\u00eatre publi\u00e9e en Espagne sous le titre\u00a0<\/span>El Par\u00eds insurrecto como imaginario\u00a0: Mayo del 68 en la literatura<\/i><\/span>. Sp\u00e9cialiste en th\u00e9orie et po\u00e9tique de l\u2019espace, il a r\u00e9cemment coordonn\u00e9 le num\u00e9ro 17 d\u2019<\/span>Atlante, revue d\u2019\u00e9tudes romanes<\/i><\/span>, intitul\u00e9\u00a0<\/span>Socio-po\u00e9tiques urbaines : construire le discours social de la ville dans la litt\u00e9rature<\/i><\/span>. Il est actuellement membre associ\u00e9 des laboratoires HCTI, de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Bretagne-Sud et du CECILLE, de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Lille, ainsi que membre du groupe de recherche\u00a0<\/span>Viajar por la ciudad.
