Dividida em duas partes: \u201cEpopeias nas Am\u00e9ricas\u201d e \u201cEpopeias na \u00c1frica\u201d, cada qual com seis cap\u00edtulos, a obra nos permite conhecer as investiga\u00e7\u00f5es de Delphine Rumeau, Christophe Imbert, C\u00e9cile Chapon, Florian Alix, Tina Harpin, Cyril Vettorato, Mathilde Rogez, Pierre Soubias, Yolaine Parisot, In\u00e8s Cazalas, Catherine Mazauric e Sylvie Kand\u00e9, pesquisadores e pesquisadoras de diferentes origens, que nos trazem, a partir de igualmente diversos enfoques te\u00f3ricos e corpus liter\u00e1rios, um retrato da presen\u00e7a \u00e9pica nas Am\u00e9ricas e na \u00c1frica, que certamente oferecer\u00e1 aos membros do CIMEEP e a outros\/as leitores\/as uma excelente oportunidade de entrar em contato com estudos liter\u00e1rios voltados para o g\u00eanero \u00e9pico, por meio de recortes te\u00f3ricos e cr\u00edticos que ratificam a import\u00e2ncia de lan\u00e7ar sobre manifesta\u00e7\u00f5es \u00e9picas ou h\u00edbridas um olhar atento, que considere, dentro do contexto p\u00f3s-colonial, as quest\u00f5es que merecem ser debatidas.
