Une nuit du mois de mai, il y a sept ans, Rafael arrivait chez lui apr\u00e8s le travail. En ouvrant le portail, quelqu\u2019un l\u2019appela. Il regarda sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9 et vit des policiers. Embarqu\u00e9 par eux, il ne retourna plus chez lui. Depuis, il a v\u00e9cu comme si cette nuit-l\u00e0 ne s\u2019\u00e9tait jamais termin\u00e9e. Sept ans en mai traite d\u2019un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne de violence courant au Br\u00e9sil, avec des cons\u00e9quences humaines et sociales d\u00e9vastatrices. Parmi ses nombreuses distinctions, se trouvent le prix du jury aux Visions du R\u00e9el et le Grand prix du Festival du cin\u00e9ma de Brive.<\/p>\n

La projection du film sera suivie d\u2019une rencontre avec le r\u00e9alisateur Affonso Uch\u00f4a et son co-sc\u00e9nariste Jo\u00e3o Dumans, anim\u00e9e par Tatian Monassa (MCF \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9), Claire Allouche (doctorante \u00e0 Paris 8, critique aux Cahiers du cin\u00e9ma et sp\u00e9cialiste du cin\u00e9ma br\u00e9silien) et Bia Rodovalho (docteure et enseignante sp\u00e9cialiste des cin\u00e9mas du r\u00e9el et programmatrice du festival Br\u00e9sil en mouvements).- Uch\u00f4a a plusieurs longs-m\u00e9trages \u00e0 son actif, s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s dans des festivals comme Rotterdam, Viennale, Toronto, Mar del Plata et Visions du R\u00e9el.<\/p>\n

Dumans est \u00e9galement cin\u00e9aste et a travaill\u00e9 comme sc\u00e9nariste et monteur de plusieurs longs-m\u00e9trages. Forts de plusieurs collaborations, Uch\u00f4a et Dumans ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 ensemble Arabia (2017), prim\u00e9, entre autres, au BAFICI et \u00e0 l\u2019Indie Lisboa.
