Dans son dernier livre Trompe-la-mort, Lionel Ruffel \u00e9voque une situation \u00e0 peine fictionnelle. L\u2019universit\u00e9 o\u00f9 exerce le narrateur-locuteur du livre ferme ses portes d\u00e9finitivement, de m\u00eame que ces lieux-refuges qu\u2019il avait l\u2019habitude de fr\u00e9quenter avec ses \u00e9tudiant-es, ouvrant un devenir-zombi de toute chose. C\u2019est pourtant dans un de ces lieux d\u00e9sert\u00e9s qu\u2019il les retrouve pour \u00e9voquer la dimension trompe-la-mort de la litt\u00e9rature et des narrations, en esp\u00e9rant d\u00e9couvrir en elles de pr\u00e9cieuses ressources. Trois histoires retiennent son attention\u00a0: celle de Sh\u00e9h\u00e9razade et des Mille et Une Nuits\u00a0; celle de l\u2019affaire \u00ab\u00a0de Tarnac\u00a0\u00bb et du Comit\u00e9 invisible\u00a0; celle de la peste \u00e0 Florence dans le D\u00e9cam\u00e9ron, o\u00f9 dix jeunes gens fuient l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9mie et\u00a0 r\u00e9inventent le monde en le peuplant d\u2019histoires.<\/p>\n

Le livre de Lionel Ruffel s\u2019ach\u00e8ve o\u00f9 commence le film de Matthieu Bareyre, L\u2019\u00c9poque. Avec la parole de celles et ceux auxquels s\u2019adresse l\u2019enseignant-le parent-l\u2019employeur etc\u00a0: les \u00ab\u00a0jeunes\u00a0\u00bb. La parole d\u2019une jeunesse lib\u00e9r\u00e9e par la nuit, ses stup\u00e9fiants, ses d\u00e9sinhibiteurs. Lib\u00e9r\u00e9e par le vertige du risque, de la violence, de la f\u00eate et de l\u2019\u00e9meute\u00a0: la parole de celles et ceux qui trompent la nuit, l\u2019ennui et la mort. Tourn\u00e9 durant trois ans la nuit \u00e0 Paris, entre les attentats de Charlie Hebdo et les \u00ab\u00a0Nuits debout\u00a0\u00bb, L\u2019\u00c9poque est un film choral et documentaire qui r\u00e9v\u00e8le plus que nul autre le pouls d\u2019une \u00e9poque, la n\u00f4tre.<\/p>\n

Lionel Ruffel est professeur de litt\u00e9rature compar\u00e9e \u00e0 Paris 8-Saint-Denis), o\u00f9 il a cr\u00e9\u00e9 avec Vincent Message et Olivia Rosenthal une formation de Cr\u00e9ation litt\u00e9raire. Il est l\u2019auteur de\u00a0: Le D\u00e9nouement (Verdier, 2003), Volodine post-exotique (C\u00e9cile Defaut, 2007)\u00a0; Brouhaha. Les mondes du contemporain (Verdier 2016). Il dirige avec David Ruffel la collection Chao\u00efd\u00a0\u00bb chez Verdier.<\/p>\n
