Les risques sanitaires associ\u00e9s \u00e0 l’exposition aux toxicit\u00e9s environnementales se posent comme l’une des principales urgences de notre \u00e9poque, demeurant encore aujourd’hui au centre d’un processus lent de mise en lumi\u00e8re et de prise en charge institutionnelle. Les expositions aux toxicit\u00e9s varient selon leur niveau de reconnaissance scientifique, juridique et politique, certaines formes de pollution dites \u00ab\u00a0silencieuses\u00a0\u00bb \u00e9tant sujettes \u00e0 l’oubli voire \u00e0 une occultation difficile \u00e0 surmonter. Parall\u00e8lement, les diff\u00e9rents degr\u00e9s d’exposition aux toxicit\u00e9s environnementales contribuent en grande partie aux disparit\u00e9s sociales de sant\u00e9 entre les classes, les ethnies, les zones g\u00e9ographiques et les genres. Une \u00ab\u00a0pression environnementale\u00a0\u00bb in\u00e9gale, r\u00e9sultant des milieux de vie, des professions exerc\u00e9es et des conditions d’acc\u00e8s aux soins, s’accumule tout au long de la vie des individus et des communaut\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Alerter, comprendre et tenter de r\u00e9pondre ad\u00e9quatement \u00e0 ces risques sanitaires environnementaux repr\u00e9sentent des enjeux politiques pour un nombre consid\u00e9rable de disciplines, de la m\u00e9decine au droit, de la biologie aux sciences sociales. Les expositions aux toxicit\u00e9s et leurs effets perturbateurs sur la sant\u00e9 humaine ont ainsi constitu\u00e9 des terrains de politisation des pratiques scientifiques pour de nombreus.es chercheur.es, ouvrant la voie \u00e0 un engagement des savoirs et \u00e0 une r\u00e9invention des m\u00e9thodes et des outils de recherche.<\/p>\n

Cette journ\u00e9e d’\u00e9tude vise \u00e0 enqu\u00eater sur ces multiples formes d’engagement de la recherche qui ont \u00e9merg\u00e9 autour du lien entre les toxicit\u00e9s et les sant\u00e9s. Des luttes pour la r\u00e9gulation des polluants \u00e0 celles pour la reconnaissance et la pr\u00e9vention des maladies professionnelles, des nouvelles techniques de captation pour mesurer les expositions au d\u00e9veloppement d’une th\u00e9orie \u00ab\u00a0\u00e9cologique\u00a0\u00bb de la carcinogen\u00e8se, les contributions r\u00e9unies au cours de cette journ\u00e9e incarnent diverses mani\u00e8res de s’engager face aux enjeux de justice environnementale de notre temps.<\/p>\n
