Bruno fut l\u2019initiateur en 2014 d\u2019un programme de recherche commun aux Universit\u00e9s Paris Descartes et Paris Diderot, \u00e0 l\u2019Institut de physique du Globe de Paris et de Sciences Po Paris appel\u00e9 \u00ab Politiques de la Terre \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve de l\u2019anthropoc\u00e8ne \u00bb, qui rassembla \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque 22 \u00e9quipes de recherches allant de la sociologie \u00e0 la spectrochimie.
Ce programme est l\u2019anc\u00eatre du Centre des Politiques de la Terre, repris et dirig\u00e9 ensuite par Nathalie Blanc.<\/p>\n
Infatigable artisan de la collaboration entre disciplines acad\u00e9miques, fin connaisseur des pratiques scientifiques de la recherche dont il avait fait l\u2019objet de sa th\u00e8se, Bruno Latour mettait en avant l\u2019id\u00e9e importante que l\u2019Anthropoc\u00e8ne, ce \u00ab nouveau r\u00e9gime climatique \u00bb selon son expression, cette p\u00e9riode o\u00f9 se rencontrent l\u2019histoire des humains et l\u2019histoire de la plan\u00e8te, rebattait les cartes de la division entre les sciences sociales et humaines et les sciences de la nature au sens large.
Pour inventer de nouvelles politiques de la Terre, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire, apprendre \u00e0 co-exister avec la plan\u00e8te, nous devons faire se parler toutes les sciences, en respectant profond\u00e9ment leurs expertises, mais en tissant point \u00e0 point entre elles de nouvelles collaborations qui associent aussi les acteurs concern\u00e9s.<\/p>\n
Fervent admirateur des observatoires de terrain, ces lieux ou les scientifiques de la Terre l\u2019instrumentent pour en percevoir les pulsations, en particulier des observatoires de la zone critique, et de la th\u00e9orie Gaia (propos\u00e9e par James Lovelock), l\u2019h\u00e9ritage de Bruno Latour \u00e9clairera sans doute pour bien longtemps nos mani\u00e8res de concevoir la Terre et les relations que nous devons entretenir avec elle.<\/p>\n
