Le samedi 18 mai 2024, de 18h \u00e0 22h, profitez de la nouvelle \u00e9dition de la Nuit europ\u00e9enne des mus\u00e9es pour d\u00e9couvrir les collections permanentes du Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Histoire de la M\u00e9decine<\/a><\/strong>, situ\u00e9 au si\u00e8ge d\u2019Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9, en plein c\u0153ur du 6e arrondissement. En visite libre et gratuite \u00e0 l\u2019occasion, ce lieu parisien embl\u00e9matique de l\u2019histoire de la chirurgie relate l\u2019histoire de l\u2019art op\u00e9ratoire de l\u2019antiquit\u00e9 jusqu\u2019aux ann\u00e9es 1950 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses collections, l\u2019une des plus anciennes d\u2019Europe : instruments, mod\u00e8les anatomiques, m\u00e9dailles, tableaux \u00e9voquent diff\u00e9rentes sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s de la m\u00e9decine et mettent \u00e0 l\u2019honneur un artisanat et un savoir-faire aujourd\u2019hui disparus.<\/p>\n

Parmi ces collections permanentes r\u00e9unies par le doyen\u00a0Lafaye<\/span>, vous d\u00e9couvrirez des instruments de chirurgie du XVIe jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la fin du XVIIIe si\u00e8cle, compl\u00e9t\u00e9es plus tard par de nombreuses nouvelles acquisitions du XIXe et XXe si\u00e8cle, permettant de\u00a0t\u00e9moigner et d\u2019illustrer l\u2019histoire de la m\u00e9decine et des sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s autres que la chirurgie.<\/strong>\u00a0On y trouve notamment des instruments ayant servi aux soins du roi Louis XIV, ainsi que quelques rares trousses de\u00a0m\u00e9decins<\/span>\u00a0et chirurgiens, ou m\u00eame des instruments de physiologie.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00c0 cette occasion, le Mus\u00e9e d’Histoire de la M\u00e9decine accueille l’exposition \u00ab\u00a0Le m\u00e9decin face \u00e0 la douleur, 16e-18e si\u00e8cles\u00a0\u00bb<\/a><\/strong>, permettant de d\u00e9couvrir les conceptions anciennes de la douleur \u00e0 l’aide de douze panneaux th\u00e9matiques, \u0153uvres \u00e0 lire et \u00e0 \u00e9couter, ainsi que des entretiens avec des neurologues afin de confronter le pass\u00e9 et le pr\u00e9sent, et permettre d\u2019interroger notre compr\u00e9hension actuelle de la douleur.\u00a0<\/p>\n

La prise en charge de la douleur est parfois per\u00e7ue comme une nouveaut\u00e9, une pratique n\u00e9glig\u00e9e dans le pass\u00e9. Pourtant, la douleur est d\u00e9j\u00e0 un sujet de pr\u00e9occupation aux 16e \u2013 18e si\u00e8cles. M\u00eame si la m\u00e9decine de cette \u00e9poque est en partie impuissante \u00e0 y rem\u00e9dier,\u00a0les m\u00e9decins la mentionnent souvent et cherchent toujours \u00e0 la soulager.<\/strong>\u00a0S\u2019arr\u00eater sur la p\u00e9riode des 16e \u2013 18e si\u00e8cles permet de d\u00e9payser notre regard sur ce probl\u00e8me.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
