Panac\u00e9e, le nouveau blog des biblioth\u00e8ques et mus\u00e9es de l’universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9<\/a>, est un carnet de recherche h\u00e9berg\u00e9 par la plateforme Hypoth\u00e8ses. Un zeste d\u2019euphonie (Paris Cit\u00e9 \/ Panac\u00e9e) et un peu de mythologie expliquent le choix symbolique du terme \u00ab\u00a0Panac\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb, repr\u00e9sentatif de l’universalit\u00e9 des collections des biblioth\u00e8ques et du Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Histoire de la M\u00e9decine.<\/a><\/p>\n

Vous avez d\u00e9j\u00e0 entendu \u00e9voquer la \u00ab panac\u00e9e universelle \u00bb, mais savez-vous de quoi il retourne et surtout avez-vous d\u00e9j\u00e0 crois\u00e9 Panac\u00e9e ? Selon la mythologie grecque, Apollon (dieu des arts, du soleil et de la m\u00e9decine) avait eu un fils nomm\u00e9 Aesclepios (Esculape), dieu de la m\u00e9decine ayant pour attribut un b\u00e2ton autour duquel s\u2019enroule un serpent (le caduc\u00e9e). Esculape aurait eu plusieurs filles dont Hygie (d\u00e9esse de la sant\u00e9 et de la propret\u00e9), M\u00e9ditrine (d\u00e9esse de la sant\u00e9 et des m\u00e9dicaments), et Panac\u00e9e (d\u00e9esse des rem\u00e8des, notamment par les plantes). Par glissements successifs, le mot panac\u00e9e a ensuite d\u00e9sign\u00e9 des plantes et rem\u00e8des divers, et \u00ab la panac\u00e9e universelle \u00bb des traitements visant la gu\u00e9rison de tous les maux.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le carnet Panac\u00e9e<\/em><\/a> a donc pour objectif de faire conna\u00eetre la richesse et la diversit\u00e9 du patrimoine scientifique et culturel de l’universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9.<\/strong> Destin\u00e9 \u00e0 un large public, il cherche tout autant \u00e0 susciter la curiosit\u00e9 de tout un chacun qu\u2019\u00e0 appeler la communaut\u00e9 universitaire \u00e0 la d\u00e9couverte de nouveaux objets d\u2019\u00e9tude et de recherche\u00a0; outre les articles \u00e0 destination des enseignants-chercheurs et \u00e9tudiants sp\u00e9cialistes du domaine, il propose ainsi des articles de vulgarisation permettant aux non-sp\u00e9cialistes de d\u00e9couvrir les collections universitaires.<\/strong><\/p>\n

S\u2019il explore plus particuli\u00e8rement le patrimoine ancien et les collections d\u2019excellence qui font le rayonnement de l\u2019universit\u00e9, il entend aussi mettre en avant des fonds moins connus, objets atypiques ou documents oubli\u00e9s, qui offrent un autre regard sur l\u2019institution. Outil de d\u00e9couverte et d\u2019exploration, il met en lumi\u00e8re l\u2019\u00e9laboration des sciences humaines, sociales et m\u00e9dicales, et donne par cons\u00e9quent la parole \u00e0 tous les acteurs qui participent \u00e0 la constitution, \u00e0 la transmission, \u00e0 la pr\u00e9servation, comme \u00e0 l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation et \u00e0 la valorisation de notre patrimoine universitaire.<\/strong><\/p>\n
