Il comprend des<strong> archives, des imprim\u00e9s, des manuscrits<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4>Les archives<\/h4>\n<p>Les archives \u00e9manent des organisations corporatives, enseignantes et savantes de la pharmacie \u00e0 Paris :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>La Communaut\u00e9 des apothicaires-\u00e9piciers de Paris (1484-1777), puis Coll\u00e8ge de pharmacie (1777-1796) ;<\/li>\n<li>L&rsquo;\u00c9cole gratuite de pharmacie (1796-1803), puis \u00c9cole de pharmacie de Paris, cr\u00e9\u00e9e par la loi du 9 germinal an IX (11 avril 1803), rattach\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 en 1840 et devenue \u00c9cole sup\u00e9rieure de pharmacie de Paris vers 1850-1855 ;<\/li>\n<li>La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 libre des pharmaciens de Paris (1796-1803), puis Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de pharmacie de Paris, cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 1803, devenue Acad\u00e9mie de pharmacie, aujourd&rsquo;hui Acad\u00e9mie nationale de Pharmacie ;<\/li>\n<li>La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9mulation pour les sciences pharmaceutiques (1838-1883).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Les imprim\u00e9s<\/h4>\n<p>Le fonds ancien des imprim\u00e9s comprend environ <b>6 000 volumes, ant\u00e9rieurs \u00e0 1811<\/b>. Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un fonds plut\u00f4t professionnel, pr\u00e9sentant un caract\u00e8re d&rsquo;usage. De nombreux ouvrages ont appartenu \u00e0 des apothicaires et \u00e0 des m\u00e9decins, comme en t\u00e9moignent les ex-libris grav\u00e9s et manuscrits ; beaucoup comportent des notes manuscrites tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cieuses pour l&rsquo;histoire de la pharmacie, puisque leurs propri\u00e9taires y consignaient leurs propres pr\u00e9parations. C&rsquo;est surtout gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l&rsquo;activit\u00e9 du docteur Paul Dorveaux, directeur de la biblioth\u00e8que de 1884 \u00e0 1922, que fut constitu\u00e9 le fonds ancien imprim\u00e9, par achats ou par dons.<\/p>\n<h4>Les manuscrits<\/h4>\n<p>La biblioth\u00e8que conserve environ <strong>250 manuscrits.<\/strong> Il est assez composite et couvre tous les si\u00e8cles du XVe au XXe si\u00e8cle, avec une pr\u00e9dominance du XIXe si\u00e8cle. On y trouve des documents tr\u00e8s divers, par exemple des recueils de recettes de m\u00e9decine, des lettres autographes et des textes de cours. La description compl\u00e8te et d\u00e9taill\u00e9e des manuscrits est consultable sur le Catalogue en ligne des manuscrits et des archives de l\u2019Enseignement sup\u00e9rieur (CALAMES).<\/p>\n<h4>Le fonds de cosm\u00e9tologie<\/h4>\n<p>La cosm\u00e9tologie, \u00e9tude de ce qui a trait \u00e0 la composition, la fabrication et la mani\u00e8re d\u2019employer les produits cosm\u00e9tiques et les produits de base servant \u00e0 leur pr\u00e9paration, est repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e depuis le XVIe si\u00e8cle dans les collections de la biblioth\u00e8que : <em>La d\u00e9coration d\u2019humaine nature et ornement des dames<\/em> d\u2019Andr\u00e9 Le Fournier, paru en 1541, et <em>La pratique de faire toutes confitures, condiments, distillations d\u2019eaux odorif\u00e9rantes<\/em>, \u00e9dit\u00e9 en 1558, sont les pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseurs d\u2019ouvrages scientifiques r\u00e9cents aujourd\u2019hui disponibles \u00e0 la biblioth\u00e8que.
